Content to come...

Greetings GGN,

How are you? You look great! Did you change your hair/not change your hair/remove your hair? Nice! Well, I hate reaching the end of the month and having nothing to show you, so I thought I'd keep you up to date on my progress and remind you that I am working my stupid little ass off to bring you content. Three things:

1. The patron-only video is...I'd say a bit over half-way edited and will be around 3hrs long last I checked. I'm hoping that the smaller net it will have and the abundance of other shows I talk about in it will secure some kind of future for this kind of content because I think I can make these pretty quickly however editing them has been a real pain in the ass. I get to a part where I say, "A similar episode of X-Files comes to mind..." and then I have to track down that episode, convert it, toss it in over and over. Why do I do this to myself? As it stands, what this will be is a sort of HD Reimagining of something I tried to make years ago. Familiar but different, old bits and new bits. Also, just reckoning with my changing opinions over the years. I'm hoping for this to be closer to done in a week or so!

2. The Parasite Eve 2 video is in the writing phase, I've already played through it a bunch and captured my footage. I'm excited to get further along with it because I do feel like I have a "take" and found it to be a much better fit for my channel, content-wise than the original. After the poll winner as usual I've been organizing a short-list of some games I want to cover that are a bit of a left turn. Hold the line, gamers.

3. Aside from the usual obligations and indignities of life and music stuff, something else that often slows down the production of content is my need to experiment with little side-projects. The one proving to be a little annoying distraction is this idea I had to try and utilize YouTube shorts for...fun content and not just like clips of podcasts. I liked the idea of trying to cram a thoughtful review of something into those 3mins but not guided by "here's a thing I like" or "my take on a piece of media that just came out", but more an extension of me posting pics of shit I found at flea markets and what not. Like, here's a crusty, water-logged copy of X on Y format that I found for $2 and here's what I thought about it. So, I threw together a little product stage out of construction paper and a piece of plexiglass to show them off (ugly stickers and sun-damage included), but I'm still learning how to light and make it look sort of striking. To be clear, I have no idea if I will follow through with it, but I liked the idea of something that celebrated physical media. As much as I am a fan of piracy and theft of digital goods...I do love junk I can hold in my hand and the trend towards doing away with that saddens me.

Anyways! I better get the F(uck) back to work. I appreciate your support endlessly, you have no idea. Thanks for giving me another day to tinker on goofy ideas 🐀
