Important announcement !
No more builds before the full release possible
We originally planned to share one more sandbox-only build with you in late November or early December. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to release another build before Wild Life launches on February 8, 2027. Some essential reworks have turned out to be more extensive than expected and need to be completed and tested before we can put another stable build in your hands. Preparing a build also takes around two weeks of coordinated work across departments, and we need to dedicate that time to these improvements and getting the game ready for launch. We know many of you were looking forward to another build this year, and we’re very sorry for the disappointment.
Content complete!
Wild Life reached its content-complete milestone this month! This is a huge step for the team, and we’re now deep into polishing: taking a closer look at how the game looks, runs, and feels to play, and addressing the areas that need more attention before release.
That closer look has already led to some significant discoveries. Several improvements require more work than we initially expected, but they also give us the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the final experience. Here’s what we’ve been working on.
Lighting and materials: a first look at the improvements
One of our biggest current tasks is a much-needed lighting rework. As we began that process, we also identified significant issues with how some of our materials were set up.
Addressing those issues is helping us improve the appearance of our assets while reducing their VRAM demands alongside our code optimization process. That makes this work especially valuable: it contributes to both the visual quality of the game and our optimization efforts.
We’ve included previews below so you can see the direction we are aiming for. These are still a work in progress, but we’re excited to share how things are coming together.
Optimization is underway
Alongside the lighting and material work, our code team has started a dedicated optimization process.
We’re taking the time to investigate where the game is putting unnecessary demands on hardware and how we can address those issues. This is a substantial part of the polishing phase, with the goal of making Wild Life run more efficiently and feel better to play.
Voice-over casting has begun
We’ve also started our voice-over pipeline, and casting is now underway!
Finding the voices for our characters is an exciting milestone. We’ve spent years developing their stories and personalities, and we’re looking forward to hearing actors bring them to life.
Working towards February 8, 2027
Our release date remains February 8, 2027, and the team’s focus is on making Wild Life the best experience we can for that day.
There is still plenty of work ahead, and some of it is more involved than we anticipated. But seeing these improvements take shape makes us even more excited for you to experience the results.
We’ll continue sharing our progress through our Friday development updates, with more looks at the changes as they come together.
Thank you for your patience and for continuing to support us. This community has made Wild Life possible, and we can’t wait to put the finished game in your hands.

Love the work you guys put into this game, seriously just amazing. I do have a question though, will you be updating the game after the full release with semi/regular updates adding new sandbox animations? I only ask because I and I'm sure many other play this game solely for the sandbox animations. either way thank you for making this masterpiece and actually comitting to a full release unlike so many other projects that other game developers have claimed they would finish.
Yes, updates post release are planned. The game will release the story mode in february 8th and a fully dedicated sandbox release will follow a couple of months after that. We will continue with updates after that too.
It would be great to implement horses—and beyond just using them, perhaps have some specific scenes or activities involving them. Am I mistaken, or can the story mode only be played as a male character? Overall, the game is fantastic, but unfortunately, it lacks deep customization. While there are many outfits, they often repeat with only minor variations, so the actual selection isn't that vast; the same goes for hairstyles—many are quite similar, and the total number is limited. As for mod support, there is a little bit available, but not much. The game is fantastic, yet certain aspects—like customization—have been left behind compared to everything else. Hopefully, there will be some substantial additions in the future; for instance, in sandbox mode, it would be great to be able to interact directly with placed objects (like showers, beds, restraints, etc.) without having to handle everything manually.
Been following the project for some time now, and am excited to see the finished product!
See you then 👍
Would there be an option to turn/adjust the difficulty in terms of combat? I mainly would want to explore and finish the story first
Yes we have plans for some difficulty adjustment settings.
In all these years, I’ve never made a request—but please, add an option to disable the camera zooming out when moving (I don’t mean the wobblingeffect), this would save the Sandbox for me 🙏🙏🙏🫶🫶🫶
Very sorry. A few little things are terribly missing. For those who are waiting for the plot component, this is normal, but for people like me who want to use WL as a tool to realize fantasies, the sandbox lacks small things that the creators could easily add.
Yeah i will Play the campain for Sure, but after that; Sandbox forever
Words cannot express how beautiful this game is, it's a work of art and I can't wait to see how it will flourish. I would also LOVE to see interactions with Shandor on your youtube channel (He's my favorite) 🩷
Shocked it’s been this long, good luck and keep dreaming since it’s work not wishes that make them come true.
im supporter since 2019 and finally, after 6 years of support and donated a i lot, a loooot of money - the release is coming! :)
Sweet im glad I've been supporting this game and good luck on the final release of the game
So will VR actually be usable in the full release? Because whatever we have now isn't it.
Its not a priority but we might look into it with a post-release patch.
take your time devs, not many games like this get an actual release date.
so a question, as i am not sure if it has been answered already, but are those of us who have been long time patrons going to get a Steam key?
As I know, who had long term support the team more then retail price currently it’s 40 $, they will get a key
More exciting than GTA 6!
they release the game before my b-day. I actually can't wait to see the final release.
God luck and go fine work !!
It's totally understandable why a last build wasn't possible. 1. I would much rather not have it as it allows me to focus on what I'm working on in sandbox instead 2. Given how I completed the story mode as far as it allowed, there's a lot that needs to be fixed and polished up. Especially with voice acting. 3. While the milestones are a good achievement, agreed, there's too much work that needs to be done for any build to be released.
Is anybody else noticing the contrast between the outfits? Naked werewolf makes sense. Tropical-esque dressed female with dark skin? Makes sense. But why exactly is the light-skinned male fully clothed? Is he a foreigner or what?
how about you play the game. Its basically the base part of his PMC's uniform
its been awesome coving this game development for the last few years on my channel. glad i was able to ride the train of this games development to completion. cant wait to see and cover the final product... GOD SPEED !!!!
Your team got this keep up the good work
Im gonna said it, I hope the voice actors can have better moans then what we have right now.
I wish more Developers did what you guys have done with this game. Taking the time to make sure it’s polished before release. Dropping the Builds for us was a good Gesture, but it’s not something you HAD to do. We appreciate it. Take all the time you need, can’t wait to play the final Build.
Currently having an issue where I can't access sandbox tools, save progress or even quick save. I've cleared the commands and reapplied them, but to no avail. Has anyone else encountered this or does anyone know how to fix this?
i had this issue , it just fixed itself
So excited! Will there be a full releas on itch. io?
I really hope the full version will have more mlm Animations...good luck with the full release.
I hope that optimization issues will be significantly improved by the time of release. With an R7 7800X3D, an RTX 3090, and 64GB of RAM running at 4K resolution with DLSS set to 'Quality' and most settings on High/Ultra I’m getting around 50 FPS, which is an absolute disaster. The visuals aren't impressive enough to justify such poor performance on a powerful PC. For comparison, The Witcher 3 pre-remaster which features much better-looking graphics runs at over 100 FPS at 4K resolution, with DLSS set to 'Quality', ray tracing enabled, and all settings on 'Uber'.
Very proud of the work the team has done to bring the game to this point!
One Last build before GTA 6!!! 👍 Just kidding, take your time
Nice! Can't wait for the full release! The main thing I've noticed that seems to really tax my gpu is the new hair options and the fur on the kerpali. I'd love if that could somehow be optimized to not be so taxing, but I understand if it's not possible without losing significant quality. Can't wait for February!
That would be really nice, my computer has basic specs for a gaming pc and I can’t afford a better one.
Nice, Here we go!
It's been my pleasure and my privilege to be supporting you for this so long! Ten years have passed, and they were the best ten years of my life! I'm looking forward to the end
RAD
Will you continue to add more content post 1.0 - mainly I'm interested in more outfits/costumes etc :)
Yes ;)
Great news!
Fair trade to haven't a build for a good and polish game
Yeah
Very exciting
Good luck with the final push, remember to rest and take time out. Peace. P.
Nice!
