"The River Dragon Has Come" (Nevermore)
Today we're getting stuck-in to this insanely cool Nevermore/Jeff Loomis classic from "The River Dragon Has Come". Less of a solo per se and more of an exercise, this awesome bit of lead playing is amazing practice for diminished arpeggios shapes and how to practically integrate economy picking into your playing.
It may look a bit intimidating on paper but I promise you it's surprisingly playable, and once it clicks you won't be able to put this one down!
Good luck and don't forget to share your progress with everyone in the Discord server!

I'm struggling with the speed of the arpeggio!!!
Now is easy because you explained it, thanks Bradley!
You must slide the little finger. 😁🤘Here is the man himself teaching it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6SSZhItyos&list=PL8o9cI3JaHLU4JpsKmbxEBeBwaPOWckBK&index=5
That's exactly the same thing I'm doing, I'm just 3rd finger instead of 4th finger - really makes no difference!
So catchy
if this is a "fun intermediate exercise" then i have a long way to go
It's honestly not as bad as it first looks! If you can play level 3 of the 1 Minute Workouts you can do this for sure
