"Through The Fire And Flames" (Dragonforce) Solos Lesson/Analysis
Not gonna lie I've been putting this one off for a long time now (for obvious reasons!) but it's really the last "big" hard solo to tick off the list here at the Guitar School, so it's time to man-up and get it done!
So it's common knowledge that Dragonforce solos are heavily comped-together and edited in order for them to achieve that signature glitchy, video game-esque sound, and then simplified in a live setting to make them more playable. It's for this reason that no one ever plays it exactly like the original recording (not even the band) and as far as I'm aware no one's ever taken the time to properly transcribe it 100% accurately - until now!
Just a disclaimer that this solo is impossible to play accurately in 1 take so this playthrough is simply just a demonstration comprised of various takes stitched together. For those of you wanting to learn this you'll need to make many compromises (which I mention in the lesson video). But regardless of all that it's mega fun to jam through once it starts to click and tbh the majority of the solo is not that bad (it's also an amazing exercise for keeping your brain locked-in while playing at very high tempos).
Good luck and don't forget to share your progress with everyone in the Discord server!

Thank youuuuuuuuu!
Not a metal solo exactly but any chance of doing the Cold Sweat solo by the great John Sykes?
Probaly a bit too niche I'm afraid man, great player though!
Can you do Ram it Down by Judas Priest next?
Tons of interesting licks to learn, thanks Bradley!!!
Daaaium!
so weird, I haven't listened to Dragonforce in years and just last week i put them on for the first time and spent a few days rockin out to them. I kept thinking i should try and learn this solo... and here it is.
My cat looked at me and laughed.
