UPDATE: just as i thought, it's their STUPID BROKEN SYSTEM that scans the attachments and if it includes .exe or any kind of archive with .exe inside of it, then IT WILL INSTANTLY assume it's copyright and puts it into "review mode" and CALLING YOU A THIEF saying it has "AUTHENTICITY" problems!

WHAT PISSES ME OFF THE MOST

is how they fucking phrase it... they make it sound like i'm some criminal stealing programs and re-uploading.. it's fucking insulting and offensive to assume that someone who's been creator on patreoN for nearly 10 years and has NEVER had any issues is now suddenly stealing programs! it feels like getting slapped and spat in the face!

and there were NO authenticity problems to begin with! ONLY problem is that their BROKEN SYSTEM flags every .exe (plain or within archive) as stolen/copyright can then calls you a thief in your face!

WASTE OF TIME

at first i thought it's cuz i mentioned roadcraft save editor, as there's another tool called exactly like it, then i thought it might be the screenshot of savegame since savegame looks same in raw json. i then tried reposting same text without attachment and realized it's just the attachment, so i tried couple MORE POSTS before i figured out it specifically whines about .exe or .exe inside archive.. and now i think all those post notifications were sent to my Patrons.. SORRY IF YOU GOT SPAMMED! blame patreon for being so incompetent..

HOW ABOUT GIVING EXACT REASON?

notice how the messsage is EXTREMELY VAGUE and it doesn't use terms "it may violate" or "it may go against guidelines", it CLEARLY says "c ontains c ontent that doesn't meet our community guidelines" and says "remove any parts that don't meet these guidelines: "Authenticity"

this is directly calling me a THIEF and CRIMINAL and making it sound like i'm at fault! CAUSING me SEVERE STRESS and ANXIETY! i'm extremely depressed and stressed as it is and now they straight out call me a THIEF and CRIMINAL for posting my own program that i literlaly spent 3-4 days writing and making sure it works properly!

HOW ABOUT TELLING ME THE FUCKING TRUTH and saying "Hi, our automated systems detected that your post may include attachment that is copyright, we need to review this to make sure it's not copyright" and HOW ABOUT NOT FUCKING HIDING MY ENTIRE POST CUZ OF THAT? HOW ABOUT NOT TREATING ME LIKE A CRIMINAL?

HOW ABOUT making JUST the attachment unavailable, so others can SEE what is going on! and so that i can SHARE the post on other social media .. but nOoOOoOO .. they take the NUCLEAR APPROACH

I DEMAND compensation and they better give it to me, i'm willing to take this to news aswell, you don't just call someone a thief just cuz they upload their OWN PROGRAM in .EXE FORMAT... HOW ELSE AM I SUPPOSE TO UPLOAD A PROGRAM??

and YES i did put it into .zip before and their stupid system STILL scanned it, i had to PASSWORD PROTECT the archive and ENCRYPT filenames to bypass this IDIOTIC FALSE BROKEN SYSTEM!

now they are FALSELY ACCUSING me of uploading malware.. all this based on AUTOMATIC DETECTION that gave a FALSE POSITIVE! this email itself seems like AI generated aswell. what's more pathetic, is that they WAIT and don't give instant response, they make it look like it's human agent, while it is NOT.

patreon isn't only company practicing such sinister and pathetic tactics, they KNOW that ppl hate AI responses, so they specifically train their AI to act more human by adding 1-2 day delay in their messages.

LOOK, my roadcraft save editor post is live with encrypted archive, if any of you think i'm in the wrong, PLEASE go ahead and download and test it in virtual machine, you won't hurt my feelings if you want to run it in virtual machine first.

REASON why it gives some VAGUE false positives (i ran it thru virus total and 12 (out of 70+) gave VAGUE false positives, this happens because it's originally a python script that is compiled into standalone .exe, this means i have to include all the python dependencies, such as

when i write programs in python, i have python fully installed which is like 300mb or so, it is UNTHINKABLE that anyone who wants to use my program, would have to download and install python first, so i compile it into a single standalone .exe that includes all the dependencies and are extracted into /temp/ folder while program is open.

Once again, i encourage everyone to test it in virtual machine if you have doubts, see for yourself that there is NO malware!

I mean, WHAT sense would it even make for me to upload malware to my loyal followers and paid supporters? it literally makes 0 sense... why would i want to infect my own paid supporters and followers? i'm extremely insulted by them even suggesting i would do this.. i've been on patreon nearly 10 years, why would i all the sudden just post malware??

Please patreon.. use some common sense! it is a FALSE positive and anyone can confirm this by analyzing my save editor. i won't provide source code as i don't want someone stealing it, but feel free to analyze the .exe in any way you like, here's even some advice if you wanna test: get "procmon aka process monitor" and make a filter so it shows you every file and registry key it reads/writes. There are other tools that can help you analyze its behaviour aswell, i assure you 100%, there is NO MALWARE! .. it literally makes 0 sense to upload malware to my paid supporters and loyal followers..
