Magnet Fishing for Metal Junk with Uncle Ed

Just a leisurely little video for you on this Wednesday eve, nothing too dramatic.
A few Sundays ago me and Ed decided to try our hand at magnet fishing. A curious pass time that involves dunking a powerful magnet into a body of water (usually a canal) in the hopes that you'll pull something interesting out.
Ordinarily people will stand on the water's edge like a fisherman, but we decided to operate from the kayak so that we could access more areas.
We are total noobs at this and had no idea what to expect. Surely the murky waters of Rushall canal were hiding something for us, maybe even a lost treasure from the industrial past, we thought...

Enjoyed the video. I love these little random ones. I don't know my midlands geography well but I do know a few of the canals around there are fed by spring water that is pumped into the canal - might explain why some bits are well clear 😊
