WALES IV BONUS FOOTAGE #1 - PRE MISSION + DAY 1
Good afternoon Patreons of old and new!
Here's your first king-sized portion of bonus footage from Wales 4.
With plenty of footage but a pretty condensed main edit, there was a fair bit of unused footage from this series, especially in the final episode.
For now though you get an insight into the recce trip, those palpable pre mission hours as well as a more thorough look at the ins and outs of how I navigated the tricky farmland sections of day 1.
There are a couple of side narratives in this one, including yet another battery based GPS dilemma that I decided not to include in the final edit. Expect the usual light hearted humour and the odd philosophical moment too.
Bonus footage 2 and 3 might be a little slow to come out (possibly 10-14 days), purely because I'm trying to get the Birmingham no roads missions (2 episodes) done, as well as catch up with the geography content. I'm sure you'd all rather it that way round but do let me know if you disagree!

New (renewing after 3 years hiatus) patron here - what series exclusively for $4/2 tiers are most worth checking out [first]?
there are so many! but I would say urban explorations with Ben, and Spain trip with Verity for starters!
Loving all the references to Age of Empires!! A man of culture.
Mate, the YouTube videos themselves are generous but to pay a humble amount for a sub here and get this extra footage is immense. Thanks man. This isn't a "your videos changed my life during dark times, I love you Paul Walker" comment, but your videos truly are entertaining.
We love you Tommy!
Hey Tom, don’t know if you know about The Slow Mo Guys, but they’re a pretty popular channel on youtube and one of the guys (Gavin) does a podcast called F**kface. I was listening to today’s episode (episode 155) and to my surprise you were featured on it! Apparently in one of the TimeGuessr videos you got a photo in Key West, Florida, and there’s an ongoing bit on the podcast about a livestream camera outside a Sloppy Joe’s in Key West, and you happened to click directly on the intersection that livestream points at!
amazing! what are the odds!
tom whatever happened too the album you was hyping up during your biking trip videos x
It is slowly coming!
Another no roads mission? Hyped to see that, your mission content is by far some of the best stuff on youtube (I'm one of the lads who's here for the adventures, although I really should have a binge of the geoguessr)
Are you still using those "Simply Duracell" batteries? They are not long life in the same way normal Duracell batteries are.
Nah I used the 200% batteries - supposedly twice as powerful (and almost twice as expensive) I also used rechargeable lithium batteries
Looking forward heavily to the no roads mission im sure that it’s CRAZY !!
Love you Tom
Any bonus is better to wait for then to have nothing at all
