What a great episode it was. FYI, Tom, next time you are traveling and need to do cross-border transfers of money like that, I highly suggest using Wise. It is well known in the expat community and is way cheaper and faster than old school bank-to-bank transfers.

The only negative interaction was the foreign immigrant with the credit place. Great to see American hospitality! (though I've met plenty of amazingly nice foreigners and past and present immigrants are the backbone of the US)
