Attempting to sneak into Britain's biggest theme park [after rescuing a lamb on an epic hike]
Good afternoon patreons! and thanks for your patience while I got the subtitles sorted on this one.
Last week I combined my need for a long distance all day hike with my long time plan to sneak into Alton Towers theme park, and I'm very keen to show you the results.
The hike itself was stunning a northward weave through some of the most peaceful and charming areas of East Staffordshire on a glorious spring day, and useful too - providing my legs with some much needed miles for ambitious upcoming adventures. Along the way I rescue a distressed lamb, meet some lovely locals and unearth a few nuggets of history.
As the journey neared it's end however, a nervousness came over me. Drayton manor and it's familiar, nostalgic tunnel was one thing, but this was Britain's biggest theme park we were talking about and I really didn't know what to expect. If I wanted to pull off a successful mission and avoid the humiliation of capture for this now dad of 2, all of my stealth and experience would surely have to be implemented...

to your question about the potential danger of guns, its very unlikely the bird shot will even brake the skin or cause any damage at all when raining down after being shot as it has lost all it power and it is very unlikely you will even get hit anyway as the pellets distribute quite far and get slowed down by trees etc. you always need to be aware when around these areas however it is illegal to shoot ground game in the uk so you dont have to worry to much about being shot at.

Tom, would love to see you explore some remnant forests in the UK. Im quite interested in conservation in the UK, especially due to the mass amounts of land clearing that has happened. Im fascinated by what the UK environment would have looked like before all that. Wistman's Wood, Borrowdale and The New Forest look interesting. Thanks!!!

Recently signed up to your Patreon because I can’t wait on YouTube lol😂 Just an idea, you should give Suffolk a go at some point, I’ve lived here a while in a remote location after moving from Wales, and the majority of Suffolk is open rural land, plenty of bridleways and public footpaths, and plenty of fields, proper British countryside and full of small villages and history! you should do a coin scavenging mission around a seaside town where there are greater chances of coins etc due to arcades and 2p machines, you could then do it until you could buy an ice cream/beer/whatever you want haha, loving the content big man

Getting shot raining down on you is fine, however if you were in a forest they could have actually be shooting at you (in your direction hopefully not aiming for you :) but even at you 50ish yards away small game shot wont be lethal. I wouldn't try your luck if they're shooting anything bigger though (muncjack, geese etc.)
Generally speaking falling shotgun pellets are fine, it may sting a little on skin, BUT it's of course going to be a problem if any falls into your eyes (could even blind you). Basically, don't look up if there's shooting nearby.

Good video tom and here’s an idea for your next project. Instead of a straight line mission the line could be a countries border. A country like San Marino would be a hard but do able challenge
