How to use the Unreal Engine tools
Here is a video showing off how to use the new unreal engine tools that come with CE 7.7 (I suggest enabling subtitles)
It's easy to use, and even people with barely any experience of coding will be able to use it when they get a hang of it. You don't even need to scan or debug. You just let the script do it's thing ,which is done automatically when you attach CE to a game that is compatible, and you'll have access to the GEngine symbol. The address this symbol points to ([GEngine]) can be used by the structure dissect to show useful information about the game, and even leads you to the current player data. (GameInstance->LocalPlayers[0]->PlayerController->Pawn/Character->jackpot)
And when the game updates, CE will find the address of GEngine automatically for you again! So you can make a table once and it'll work through multiple patches, as long as the offsets don't change. And if they DO change, you can still use lua and automated structure dissect to find the offsets for you (maybe I'll show that in a future video/text)
I'll likely post some other videos for other games doing pretty much exactly the same to show how ridiculously easy this is and some things you have to take care of, like god mode disabling itself on map changes, sometimes after cut scenes, and for games that ignore it, and what to look for then
Besides god mode there are tons of other useful things inside the dissection of Unreal Engine games so give it a spin and see what you can do!

Hello, if I pay the $2:50 to like join patreon? Do I get access to the portable version. I got the Linux one running on my steam deck but I can't connect it to cheat deck because it has no exe . The Windows one won't finish installing in lutris so I need the portable version with that EXE. Unless you know a better way I can do it. Please and thank you
Linux doesn't use .exe . You can just execute cheatengine-x86_64 from the steam desktop mode (you can also add it to the steam store and launch it from game mode, but for now just try to launch it in the desktop)

It's free to use. Just get it from cheatengine.org . Or get it from patreon and then cancel your subscription afterwards (unless you're on linux/mac)

Why does downloading from the site result in an .exe file named CDM.EXE—which is the name of a virus?
Issue with the downloadlink generator script. Rename it to CheatEngine77.exe afterwards and it'll be better

This looks neat. Is the GEEngine symbol available in the 7.5 version you can compile from Github or is this a newer feature requiring 7.7 to get this automagically?

Hi, I noticed a disassembler issue in Cheat Engine on Windows. When the CS segment register changes from 0x23 to 0x33, the code after that point should be interpreted as 64-bit instructions. However, Cheat Engine does not automatically switch to 64-bit disassembly mode, so the following instructions are decoded incorrectly unless I manually change the disassembler view to 64-bit. Could you please check whether CE can automatically switch the disassembly mode based on the CS value on Windows? Thanks.

and try a different browser, like firefox. You can also join this patreon and get a version that's less likely to be blocked (still no promises there's no overzealous AI protecting you)

I was messing with it a bit and was wondering if there was a way to turn off collisions for just walls and hidden boarders? And is there an advantage of pawn over character?

Amen! I couldn't play most games without it. So many games I would have missed out on without being able to use Cheat Engine. (Mainly the speedhack to about .25-.5 speed! 😅
