Purchase Engagement Rings
This is an update of an old small tweak I had, "propose costs money", that tweak will now be unsupported . With this mod, you can buy wedding rings. I didn't change Maxis' interaction, so even if you don't have one, you can still propose.

Wedding rings can be bought from phone, PC and in Tartosa from the clothing shop shell.
There are 5 wedding rings:
They show like this in game because the game generated thumbnail for the object was horrible. Rings go from cheap to luxury.
The ring cannot be dragged out of the inventory, you need to use the interactions:
Personalising the Ring:
You can give the ring a name and a description.
Proposing with the Ring:
Once your Sim has a ring in their inventory, Maxis interaction will be replaced by a custom one. Post Lovestruck the interaction is moved in the Relationships menu.
You'll need to pick the ring you want to use for the proposal:
After proposing the ring will be moved in the other Sim's inventory and will be wearable:
Wearing a gifted wedding ring gives gameplay effects (it slows down the relationship decay with the partner, the more expensive the ring the more powerful s the effect). The ring will also show on your Sim.
Already Married or Engaged Sims:
If your Sims are already married or engaged, they'll have the option to gift the wedding ring.
Family Heirlooms:
Parents and grandparents can pass down their wedding rings to the youngster.
This will change the ring into a family heirloom:
A family heirloom can both be worn and used to propose.
Special Rings:
There are 6 hidden rings that cannot be purchased, they can only be found through gameplay. 5 of them are associated with occults and give a special bonus to those Sims:
The 6th is a surprise.
I won't give you spoilers on how to find them, but from the cheat menu you can get up to 3 hints (shift click on your Sim with testingcheats on):

Hey Zero! Love this mod! Have a question thought. Do you think you'd ever add more rings to this mod? Or allow some CAS rings to be included? Idk it seems like it may be a hassle. The 5 rings are nice, I'm just constantly rotating them through sims.
Loving this mod!! can we have more expensive rings? there're some sims with tons fo money and this could be a nice way of showing of their money <3
Hi! I have base game and get together. The option shows to gift ring, however my sim gets the "can't walk" buff when he tries. I have tried to gift in an open space, removed all furniture etc. It doesn't seem to work! I am wondering if I need an expansion pack in order for the gifting to work? Thank you!
Oh gosh, this is great! Thank you for making this :) I just had a tiny issue, or maybe its me, I can't seem to find the tartosa app, although I bought a ring (it was a sole option when I clicked on order on web) regardless of that THANK YOU! For making my storyline more lifelike
Hey for some reason every time i try to propose it doesnt say propose with engagement ring. It says the regular base game propose option. I thought it was because I had the suprise proposal mod but I took it out and it still isnt working. EDIT: Sorry I just found out what my issue was it was the No romance for family mod by simsmodelsimmer. This is a great mod!

I revisited this post bc I accidentally stumbled upon the 6th hidden one and it was such a delightful surprise ☺ I forgot to even be looking for it but that honestly made it even better! My sims had just got married too and I replaced her original engagement ring w the new one, haha. Really, really nice touch!!!
Hi! The propose menu didnt appear.. I checked in romance and relationship :( Thank you! edit : I wonder... Maybe if you could add on the ring in the inventary the action Propose to : it could be easier to do it. thanks!

Hi, I was wondering if there is any known conflicting mods? The option to buy a ring does not show up for me. I have tons of mods so I am assuming one is conflicting.
do a Better Exceptions conflict scan, it'll scan your mods and report any conflicts
Hey! I just wanted to know if you are thinking about making a fairy ring in the future, or if that's an absolute nope.
For some reason my sim can't reach the ring to gift it to their partner even though it's in their inventory....

A little confused about when this was updated since its posted as July 5, but this is not working in my game after all recent EA updates (newest pack not installed). I can get the ring and engrave it etc but the option to propose seems to be erased from the game, not just from the sim who has the ring in their inventory.No one can propose even with highest romance.
I tested this in game and was perfectly able to propose both with the ring and without it in the inventory.
You come up with absolutely the most amazing mods for realism! I was just looking at your mods on Curseforge, and I'm amazed I never thought of installing them from there.

I have a question! Since you can't drag the ring in live mode, what happens if I play on another family and the person who is currently wearing the family ring (and is waiting for her daughter to get old enough to inherit it), dies? Like, where does the ring go if she dies before she can pass it on to her daughter?
The family inventory almost for sure. If it causes issues I can add the liveDrag again

I love this mod! Any idea why it doesn't show up in my Sim's finger when I click on "use ring"? EDIT: I figured it out: remove all of your Kijiko's eyelashes and the ring will show up!
There could be many reasons. The ring is an appearance modifier that uses the finger ring slot, but doesn't replace an existing accessory, so if your Sim is wearing an accessory that uses the same slot the ring will not show. Also, there are a couple of rings that use a My Wedding Stories model, if you don't have that pack the modifier will not work, you'll still get the other effects from wearing the ring tho.

I doubt, the interaction is custom but basically left untouched from maxis so it gives the same relbit and effects
