Retrospectively, this video made me go to the beads shop I run into while on my way to secondhand shop, lets say after the spending in beads shop I did not went to the secondhand store anymore :D

I am jealous as there are no bead shops in my area anymore!! I have to shop online which is still fun but less instantaneous 😅

Hi, Well, what can I say...Beautiful, gorgeous, stunning... Non of these words suffice when seeing your garniture, or the making of it. A pair of ear rings and you would be all set for the Nobel Prize dinner. The most formal event that I know of on this planet. I use it for gown spotting but the jewelry on display is amazing. This is when our royal household bring out the largest and finest jewelry from storage, and if I say that our royal jewelry is at par with that of the British royalty's I'm not overstating. It's a sight to be seen. Now I just need a way to do something like this beading laying flat on my back. My CPS is doing it's thing, and I don't have spoons enough to make something like this upright. I was intrigued when you likened it to knitting and I used to do quite a lot of that. That was before the whiplash accident 28 years ago, October 25 of course. (It's not getting any cake. Not this year, not any year. Basta!). The only lead I have for Preciosa beads, are somewhere in Latvia, and only for the glue on ones. They have blood red AB ones, and I have them on my competition gown. Not the same thing. I do hope that you find all the other colors you mentioned, and as ever I'll enjoy anything you put out. (You should be able to see The Nobel prize Ceremonies online. If nothing else you if you have a VPN you could set it to Sweden. and watch it on SVT. They send it live starting with the Peace Prize from Oslo at 13.00 or 1 pm, the Prize Ceremoni at 16.00 or 4 pm and the banquet at 19.00 or 7 pm, all of it CET. You will get it in Swedish of course but the photage is beautifully done.)* Yours, Ann P.S I checked and it seems like you can see the Nobel Prize events on their official channel, but I don't know how much of it they'll send, or if they have commentary in English. D.S.

Love the necklace. By the way I never received an email announcing this stream. Saw it on YouTube first.

This necklace is stunning 😍. You did an amazing job!! It would be cool as black and red for a vampiric look. I might attempt, patience and time withstanding, a purple version for a witchy look. Now to find the beads! Would love to see more of these, if you can fit them around your already busy schedule with all the sewing you have planned for the rest of the year!

T
The Closet Historian · September 27, 2023

Thank you Rachael! I have made a red Picasso finish one (well, its almost done) and I might make a blue one next ✨

This absolutely stunning! 🤩🤩🤩 And yes, of course we want more videos of this!! That will at least save me from buying beads 😂 I just sit here and watch you frolic around with them 😁

T

Really enjoyed this! I’ve never had much to do with beads/jewellery (very long story) so this was fascinating!! Thank you so much for sharing this with us. It is beautiful! Definitely worth the time and effort. Sending best wishes from Down Under 🥰🐈‍⬛📖📚💚💚🌺🌸💐🇦🇺😎

I adore this. I had a very old, smaller one once from "Great-Grandmama", (yes I come from a long line of Victorian women!) I love it so much but I worry that with my personality I'll go off-piste about ten beads in and look like one of my children made it for mothers' day! Yours is really fantastic.

T
The Closet Historian · September 27, 2023

Thank you Deborah! I sorta feel like a very off kilter one could start to look melted in a good way 😅✨

Just looking at the thumbnail, epic is an understatement. What word is more epic than epic?

Me, cleaning my craft room like two weeks ago, "wow I really should destash some of these beads..." Bianca, from the aether: "absolutely tf not" Kidding of course, but this was too perfect of timing and now I need to try. Also, there's an art-deco spiderweb necklace made out of uranium glass on Etsy that is waaaaay out of my budget, but I didn't rationalize you could just buy uranium glass beads?! If you do buy some and have a good experience please let us know. (I apparently can't operate a computer today, oops)

T
The Closet Historian · September 27, 2023

Thank you Maeghi! Never let go of beads! Certainly one never knows when they might need some beads 😂

Such delicate work! The central pieces look like the number 8, which, according to Pythagorean numerology, represents victory, prosperity and overcoming. Good mottos for your year ahead, I'd say!

T
The Closet Historian · September 27, 2023

Thank you Penny! I need to make two more "8"s for earrings sometime ✨

Debra S. Apostol · September 6, 2023

Actually breathtaking! Short of gothic period movies I don’t believe I’ve ever seen one of these, and I am captivated!!

T
The Closet Historian · September 27, 2023

Thank you Debra! They have shown up in film quite often!
