Early Access // Tomorrow's Video 😅

Okay so I'm cutting it closer to upload day this week, but you all still get this one uh...24 hours early 😂

I'm supposed to be getting the last of the silk I need for the Whitby gown floral stuff today in the mail from India, so cross your fingers it's the exact color of green I need. Then I'll be finishing up that gown at last this week/weekend so you'll be seeing it soon!

You couldn't find a vintage green plasticflex in the wild, so you (and some kind/talented people) made your own. I love this!✨Jumbo sized tiles for your backdrop would be fun, sort of as a gradient perhaps.😀

I sorta want tiles designed like the "tiles" I've had on my backdrop set to really come full circle about it 😂✨

How awesome is that! I'm in a purse making mode rite now! Not 40's for sure, but fun to plan & play with. And the embellishments! Like you aways say! The embellishments are the best part of it!

Embellishment forever!!

I have a resin printer, now I have a project to test this glow resin 😍

Glow would be most excellent! I'd like a mint green glow one maybe 🤩

Hi, So your very first very 40's inspired handbag. My congratulation to you all on the project. I hope that there will be sequels galor for you in the future. I have even less of a clue about making these bags, than other thing I have no idea about. I can just about share what I have picked up from the milliners online, that I follow and try to learn from. They seem use a lot of prick stitches in things that need to be very neat, but at the same time be sewn. Things like sewing linings and petersham ribbon into hats, and even trim and decoration at times and the prick stitch is the preferred stitch. I don't know if this is of any use, and I wont be upset if you tell me to shut up, and go jump in a lake at all. In other news; You are now officially on Seamwork's (a pattern and sewing place online I'm a member of) short list of recommended inspirational sewing sites. Again Congratulation. I might have had a tiny finger pointing them towards your channel some time ago (I hope you don't feel like I overstepped by doing so), but the presenters joy in recommend you were all her own. She had definitively seen quite a few of your videos, and she seemed to enjoy you and your content immensely, when presenting you. Let me know if you want me to send a link to the page. I hope that your vacation in writing land was joyful and fulfilling. I want to be able to follow you for a long time yet. Take care of yourself and give a pet to your cats from me. Yours, Ann

You should record the silk unboxing. Would love to see that. Great bag. So many possibilities...

The Closet Historian · July 29, 2023

Thank you! Alas the silk was more of a small bag situation, and immediately went into a bath of glue solution to be stiffened for leaf making 😅
