Early Access // This Week's Video! (Hooded Scarf)
Hello all! I'm still half-way 'out-of-office' this week as I work on some writing, but I wanted to pop in to give you an early look at this week's channel video where I make the hooded scarf drape thing and give instructions on how to make my exact hood pattern.
I managed to edit through the entire draft of the book I'm currently working on yesterday, around 65,000 words (it's around 1/2 done I'd wager), and had a great time doing it. Editing is my favorite part because it always gets a tiny bit better after every pass. Today I'm going to try and make forward progress though, so wish me luck 😬
Happy Monday and I hope you have a great week ahead!

Hmmmm…..does anyone else see rainwear potential here? Not something for driving rain but those misty, sprinkling days.
New Patron Here! I have absolutely devoured your content over these last few weeks when I stumbled upon your bodice block tutorial on Youtube. This hood pattern is perfect as an accessory to my Ren Faire outfit. Do you have any alteration suggestions for making this pattern a bit more cottagecore/fantasy? Have you ever thought about creating a vintage look book with cottagecore/fantasy/renaissance inspiration?
Thank you Carson! I think the "vibe" of this one is all down to the fabric choice! In a linen with some Celtic embroidery? It would look totally different! Or wool with a Viking brooch? Alas I am more of a sci fi rather than fantasy human myself, so I don't have any cottagecore-esq plans at present!
Good luck! I hope the writing is going well and you find it restorative, or invigorating, or whatever the right description is!
I love this! Thank you so much. I am definitely going to try this out. I am super excited to have a more beginner friendly project to try out - I love that you mix up the skill level. Thank you! Also very pleased to hear you are keeping to your writing time
That's great, good for you! Editing is where we get to read our work aloud, too. Yay! Hope the wordsmith fairy is good to you! (She needs this hood!)
Yay! So happy you finally made time for it!! Hope this year is filled with writing and fun sewing projects that you enjoy and inspire you!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 yay! Go writer go! I love this. My friend wove me a version of this and my husband calls it a shood or a scawl. Lol
Good luck Bianca!
Enjoy your ‘out of office’ editing. Thank you for the fabulous hood/cape. I need one of these in all the fabrics. Just need my sewing space to be finished!
I'm so excited for this! I desperately need a hood to replace one i lost so planning on this being my first project of 2023!
Glad to hear you are taking care of your sanity, or lack there of! HAHAHA! We shall wait , well, I don't know if you'd call it patiently, but wait we shall! Take care of B, I shall say a Prayer for you! 🥰
Yay for taking the time to do some writing! Editing & proofreading are my favorite parts of writing. I was "that person" in college that actually liked to proofread my friends essays in college. Glad to hear you're taking some time to write!
The vibe at the end was totally Skeleton Space Witch and I'm here for it.
Exciting! Yay for writing ❤️
Happy thoughts and positive energy sending your way 💙
Yay writing!!
❤ luck!
