Holy cats! That stuff may have been miserable to work with but the finished product is amazing! I’d wear that beautiful thing all the time 😍

Looks great. Loving all these looks you're treating us to as 2022 winds down. I'm having fun watching all of these videos of your various creations. You're in the 2022 home stretch : ) (I sent you something to your P.O. Box <3 )

I love the way the final product looks! Like a 2085 version of 1985. This fabric certainly seems persnickety, though. But I wonder what using it as a base layer for a beetle brooch would be like. Sort of sandwich it between the felt and the beading for a bit of iridescent glinting beneath/between the beads?

Thank you! I think it would work great for beetles, especially with some fray check or burning the edges to stop them from fraying ✨

I wonder if using a knit needle would work better, like a ball needle, so it pushes the fibers vs piercing. It looks super awesome!

T
The Closet Historian · December 15, 2022

I agree it may work better! I'll need to try it soon. I also have some "nonstick" needles which I don't know if that would make any difference with this weirdness, but I can try 😂

Do you think the organza would have behaved better if it was flat lined with something stronger?

M
Melissa Elphinstone · December 15, 2022
