A Neon and Noir Dress Project!
We have had the realtor in Tomorrowland dress, this almost feels like the owner of a castle themed bar on Mars...dress? Something like that. What Maleficent wears in space okay?

This dress looks great! That neon is so glorious and bright it looks like it smells like tennis balls in the best possible way. Have you tried this dress under black light? I think it would make the neon look literally out of this world.

An unsolicited tip- if you let your kittens bite and scratch your hands now when they are playing they are quite likely do it as adults. Having said that TicTac was never allowed to bite me as a kitten but the little sod sneaks in a love bite when I least expect it, so….
Yep, I too absolutely love this dress. I never would have considered neon fabric, and it’s such a winner here. Wow! Looking forward to more Space Queen designs. This style is very flattering. So chic! Definitely catwalk worthy sleeves ...... and now I'm imagining it with a long figure hugging skirt and floopy train that would somehow look like you were gliding not walking....... there's a cartoon character possibly Morticia? that's ringing bells. Definitely very space Queen!

Absolutely love this dress! You have changed my mind about neon! My daughter has a Patreon channel and I am her biggest supporter, like your Dad is for you. I think you might be similar in age as she was born may 1991. Love your videos, you have inspired me to get back into sewing now the children are grown up, just need the youngest to leave home so I can have his room (it’s bigger than my sewing room). Anyway, keep up the good work :)

Wow, those sleeves, the neon and the high neckline, really cool! Yes, I thought it had a sporty look, too, when you were sewing. The stitching reminds me of the sporty car interiors that have neon stitching along the edges of the seats. It's also the colour of brand new tennis balls. Imagine you swinging a racqet with those sleeves!

Loved this dress. Hey, have you heard of the Haslam method of sewing? It is interesting on how they draft vintage clothing.
Thank you Donna! I get asked to use the Haslam method probably once a month 😅 I just don't like or believe in "special" methods for pattern drafting. To me there is just regular old pattern drafting, as I was taught in fashion school(s), and no special ruler or method or equation is more appealing to me than just doing it the normal way! All Haslam designs are possible without their methods, because drafting, is drafting, is just drafting.
