Am-az-ing colour! Can't wait for the rest of the project. As usual, you have great taste ❤
Thank you Beverley!
Skirt looking pretty good and as another comment said with the right petticoat it will be spot on! It certainly looks fine hipwise on the video - maybe it will just become your posture trainer?! 😁 looking forward to seeing the next exciting instalment in this adventure.
Thank you Peta! I seriously need a posture intervention 😂😩
You are in good company liking green so much. The color of the year is green, sort of a light warm sage color green, but any green can work! The skirt came out so beautifully and I loved the twirls. The pleating in the back looks so pretty and flattering. You may feel like it's a little to small in the waist, but it doesn't show while on you. I think with a petticoat it will flow better as well. Thanks so much for the sneak peak!
Thank you Peggy! I'm glad the universe agrees green is /the/ color 💚
Dearest Bianca, OMG!!! So lovely!!! The skirt is totally amazing!!! Thank you for showing it!!! I second the crowd fund for organza !!! Love ya!!! Alice
Thank you Alice! 💚
Absolutely stunning!!! Is there a way you could set up a crowd fund for organza? I for one would be happy to chip in!!
Thank you Rachell! I think I actually might have just enough organza because I found a leftover piece from the Cicada gown evening sleeves!
If you do make a new petti, would we be able to see the making of? If possible, I'd like to see how you do it please. Really enjoying the videos. Thank you
Thank you Karoline! I'll definitely film it if I make a new petticoat, I might make it for the evening version since things are tight time wise this next moth whew!
The skirt is stunning and that necklace was a great choice. Also for some reason watching this gave me a major breakthrough on a novel that's been eating my brain for five years, so thanks!
Thank you Cheryl! I love a breakthrough!!
Everything is so sumptuous, it's like a Stokowski recording but as a dress!
Thank you Penny!
Another great project the skirt looks amazing! The moths are truly a thing of beauty as your eye colours are as well! Your work is so important and it is a privilege for me to be apart of the process ...even in a small way.
Thank you Margo! ❤ I had fun playing with some new to me eyeshadows for this look 🤩
So beautiful. I kinda wish it was still the norm to swish about in lovely long dresses/skirts like this... except without the societal issues and problematic bits of that era... You look awesome as ever and I cant wait to see the bodice!
Thank you Jennifer! This is where long swishy housecoats come in, swish about at home at least I say ✨
How can I get my name on there!
It's supposed to be so I'll correct it! I don't know why Patreon isn't giving me the full list when I download names!! This is rather concerning 😟 Thank you for bringing it to my attention ❤
Cracked up at Guillermo del Toro blender. loved the large size (filling my laptop screen) fashion plates, and inspiration. You are the unparalleled queen of insect couture.
Thank you Victoria!
Sooooooooo beautiful!!!!!!!! Moths! Crimson Peak! Beautiful Dark Academia with a forest floor twist! Would it be Goth Forestcore?
I was writing down some ideas but like your's best. Yes, that's it-- Goth Forestcore.
I saw a brown velvet moth themed capelet on instagram and immediately thought of you and this project! Luckily you had already seen/liked it so I didn't have to be a weirdo sending you stuff!
All the moth capelets!!! 💚
Oh the colour! 😘😘😘
Beautiful!! I'm so looking forward to seeing the whole outfit! I'd say some cotton organdie will be enough for the sleeves - that's what I do! No need to splurge on puff lining! And as for the "limpness" of the skirt (not that it looks particulrly limp to me. that silk seems to have a nice body!), if you don't want to stiffen the skirt itself with tarlatan/organdie, you can always stiffen the petticoat/underskirt, if you end up deciding to make a new one. It's more of a 1900s thing, but it should work here too. Another thing that could help is sewing wool braid (or doubled up cotton twill tape if you're cheap like me) to the inside of the hem, where you have the bias voile.
Thank you Dee! The only trouble is Mood's organdy is still pricey so I'm dragging my feet 😅 I sorta want to see if the sleeves do okay on their own, since I agree this taffeta does have quite a bit of body. I think I may actually have enough black silk organza already in stock to do it too, but it's a lot of "wait and see how it goes" right now 😂
Oh my yes yes this is stunning...sigh... I have been in love with everything about this project, and the dark green, and and and....oh let’s face it...everything 😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻
Thank you Raelene! 💚
I was just thinking about wanting to watch a costume creation video and was going on to rewatch some old videos of yours and other costumers when I got the notification that this video was up!! I clicked so fast to watch this, because I forgot this was coming out yay 😁
Ready here with a giant costuming project 😅💚
Oh the colour! The swish! The rustle of the silk!! Just gorgeous!! And the skirt don't look bad either! 🙃 This is exciting....so looking forward to next instalment of the Mandragora Gown! 🥰 I'd love to see how you decorate your house. It will happen. Baby steps. Sending best wishes from Down Under 💚💚💐🇦🇺😎
Thank you Rhonda! The house decor dreaming never stops 😂💚
