Peek at my current project...
Well I was hoping to have a video about making the pelmet/lambrequin/valance thingies for the sewing room up last Thursday, but as soon as I measured the first of my paper mock ups this last week, I realized that three yards of the upholstery velvet was not going to cut it!
Sure it would have if I paid no mind to nap (not possible) or had seamlines ruining the smooth effect (not noticeable from far away but I work in here and it would drive me mad), and I also had underestimated on the trim...so optimistic of past me!
So alas I had to place orders for more of both materials and the video is temporarily postponed. Instead I thought I would show you the first finished treatment I did manage to complete, even if all the hand sewing took an entire day. It's going to be worth it for the increase in gothic vibes but also, oofa
So I switched gears quickly into moving the Princess Seam Drafting Dangerous episode forward in the schedule. I have been working on it for several days now and hope to have the (long, comprehensive, masterclass if I do say so myself) video out on Monday! Thank you as always for your patience and support!

As I member of the Fourth Wall, I’m glad you’re finally giving us our makeover!
These are going to be amazing, can't wait to see them 💙
Exciting to get a glimpse of your next gothy project and always well worth paying attention to nap and seam placement... it's your space after all! And thanks for the new video on princess seams. Love learning more. Remember for some of us any and all drafting is dangerous!
I love the pelmet design! This is my first glimpse of the frieze you modified to fit the narrow section of wall above the windows, and it’s beautiful.😻
It's gonna look so great!! Is it weird that I also get so excited every time you mention pushing something off so it meets your standards? Also, excited about princess seams. ☺️
I literally had an audible gasp. I continue to be in awe of the stunning design choices and refined execution.
So looking forward to princess seams!
Glorious. I love a pelmet, and anything that elevates a window really. This is stupendously marvellous.
Those are so gorgeous
I am very much looking forward to both videos. The Drafting Dangerously series has been so informative so far I am happy that the next episode will be pushed forward. 😊
I got a big kick out of you calling the series 'Drafting Dangerously'. The ly is perfectly correct. Not that Bianca should change the name. (Last sentence not complete.) (New last sentence does not contain a verb.)
Love it
Love the window thingy. So elegant!
I love it and know it will be worth the wait. Looking forward to the princess seams!
ooh, pretty! I'm impressed by how well the trim is smooshed into the corner shape!
Absolutely fabulous!
Such spooky vibes … just in time for spooky season!!! (And Oliver seems to agree … lol)
Wow. Gorgeous! Love the trim, it looks amazing.
You are absolutely amazing. Thank you for keeping us posted. Waiting patiently until Monday!
It’s brilliant, definitely gothic
