I just got Pattern Making for Fashion Design for Xmas. It's amazing! Better than I expected! Wow! I'm all set! Though I'm larger than the sizes they use, as I already have a block and it's all dart manipulation, it doesn't matter. UK peeps, it's available on Amazon for £21 currently.
That's why pattern drafting is the best, the manipulations apply to any block, so once you've got blocks the world is truly thy oyster!

Thank you Tiana! I fear the cats would be fine...but I am a mess. I worry about them when I go grocery shopping for a few hours, let alone further afield 😂 I need to get a camera so I can check on them and then maaaaybe I could chill a little bit.
Preemptive Happy New Year! The extent of my sewing recently has been refilling and repairing catnip "tea bags" and kickers for the beasties. I think I would much rather make a dress!
My cats spend so much time "helping" with my garment sewing I sometimes wonder if all fabrics are imbedded with catnip 😅
I have a 7 month old and can confirm that I’m constantly trying (and failing) to get things done while he is sleeping 😂

As we’ve all said here - a gazillion times LOL - we would watch you do ANYthing … sewing, crafting, DIY’ing, Thrifting, Renovating … heck, I’d even like to see your gingerbread cookies! (I’m imagining something ‘spidery’ on them). Don’t ‘worry’ about THAT with us, I’m sure over half of us watch your sewing sorcery beCAUSE we don’t have your skills and marvel in awe at how you manage to just see a design and make it happen! And so beautifully too!!!
Thank you Debra! The ability to overthink...everything truly knows no bounds. I'm constantly trying to come up with projects that edge over "good enough" to warrant a video, when I could probably just focus on making what I like most...but being even more repetitive scares me senseless 😅
Good to know you are safe from the Yule Cat, since you now have new clothes for Christmas! That is another stunning piece. Is that technique called rutching? Cat travel tip: We can manage an overnight away by leaving out a fresh meal plus an extra frozen meal for our kitty. YMMV of course, depending on food preferences/gluttony with three kitties. Finding a sitter might be a good first foray into locating likeminded cat ladies in the community. Is there a local shelter, who may be able to recommend someone? Very stunning dress! For some strange reason, that phrase you used about the fabric, "viscose fusion" reminded me of The Trammps' song "Disco Inferno" - don't know where that association came from! I just watched the full video - absolutely beautiful dress, you did a superb job. It fits you beautifully and is so stunningly stylish. I do agree with Kathleen about the music, tree,& kitties. Once again, Merry Christmas!!! I may even need to make ginger cookies in the next day or so!
