School Picture Day Mod 1.2
1.2 Update
Added a notification the morning of school photos so you can ensure your little ones are dressed their best for their photos! Thank you to the commenter who suggested this!
1.1 Patch
Fixed an issue for translators where mod would not use their translations. Please redownload if you play in any other language than English.
For translators - if you've already translated the mod, it will now work. There is no need to re-translate. Thank you!
School Picture Day is a mod which automatically generates a school photo in your kids or teens inventory on a random school day.
You will be notified at the end of the day that they have had their picture taken, and that it can be found in their inventory.
This will automatically create a keepsake for you to hang on the wall or sit on the fireplace, reminding you of your sim kiddo's childhood.
CHEATS
Enter ef.school_photo in the cheat console if you want to generate a portrait into your sim's (kid or teen) inventory.
INSTALLATION
Unzip/extract the downloaded file into your mods folder.
Do not place inside any other folder than the one which comes with the mod.
No other mods required.
Enjoy!
Note for Translators
The photo frame name & description (visible when hovering over the frame in live mode) cannot use STBL entries so they cannot be translated.
If you've already translated the mod, it will now work as of 1.1. There is no need to re-translate. Thank you!

Question! If you remove this mod while a photo is in their inventory, will everything be fine or will it mess up my save? (asking for when i have to take it out for mod updates or something)
I haven't tested that but it should be fine, it would just remove the photo from the save.
is this base game friendly? i dont have high school years :)
thank you so so much ♡
My sims had a picture day but their school portrait isn’t in their inventory and the cheats not working 😭😭
Very awesome
Yay, I was literally hoping a day before or the day of notification would be awesome. This is such a cute mod. without y'all sims 4 would be dead. #respecttomodders.
hey when I try to use the cheat it wont work
soo adorable omg
I add a german translation 💖: https://www.patreon.com/Zombuk1/posts/school-picture-170196269
Thank you! Added to the post :)
This is wonderful. Just one question, can we choose the outfit?
As of 1.2 I've added a morning notification before the picture day, so you'll have a chance to dress them differently before school :)
this is so cool and I can't wait to see it work. one question though. Wouldn't it be better to have a notice that there *will* be a picture day like real schools usually do? So we could have our little simlings dressed in their best?
Ahh this is a very good idea and shouldn't take me too long to implement! I'll try to this morning! :)
Does it work with Adeepindigo's Education Overhaul? (It has a "Picture Day" but it's chance and I never got it so i'm not sure if gives something or just a buff because of it)
Yes! When I looked at the page for that mod it said it was a buff so the two mods will not conflict in anyway, but they don't hook into eachother either.
does this require any packs?
Nope!
Thanks
I just installed it and it works really well! The only thing I noticed is that the Sim’s photo looks stretched vertically, especially the face. It makes the Sim’s features look a little elongated. T_T
Thank you for this mod!!
Thank you!!
thanks this is great
As a school photographer...thius makes me so freaking happy! Thank you!!!
This is so cool! Thank you. <3
That is a really cute idea thank you so very much for this :)
Hi! I wanted to let you know that a friend and I translated this mod into Italian, but for some reason it stays in English in the game. I also tried it with the Spanish translation someone sent you, and the exact same thing happens.
Hi! Thanks so much for translating! It may be due to the .package already containing strings for all languages (with the strings in English). Could you try deleting the Italian String Table in S4S and saving? It may work then! otherwise I can reupload with the strings in a separate package :)
This is so brilliant, thanks so much for the mod :D
Thank you! I always thought why does Discover U has grad photo but not HSY. I needed this! ♥
