Regarding Today's Patch
If you play with mods, I would strongly advise against updating your game today.
We don't really know what's going on at the moment, but I suspect this is an update that EA will either have to rollback or drop further patches for.
Best course of action right now is to not update. If you have, you will not be able to play with mods.
I will not be updating my game until we've heard more from EA, which means I will not be updating mods until we have more information.

EA has already announced they're working on fixing things; apparently the patch messed up how the game recognizes .package files, which means essentially all mods are having trouble right now. They're working on a fix.
If anyone does update or accidentally update right click on your installation folder go to properties and see if you’d have any previous version from the past few days to restore your files. That’s what I did when I accidentally updated my game today also, I recommend you back up your installation every time we get a stable version of the game that your mods are working in that way if you accidentally update and all that good stuff, you can just paste your folder over that folder. Game version ex file in the cache files from the documents folder.
Mine had no previous versions despite having played yesterday. Color me jealous that you did. gonna cry
They will possibly have to roll it back or something because script mods are not loading in. Whether they need an update or not.
