Weekly report 189

Hi everybody.

I hope you're all doing well and are ready to enjoy the holidays. Here's a summary of what Chestnut and I have been doing since our last report:

Chestnut:

She's almost done with the new cutscenes, drawing several panels. Unfortunately, our baby got sick this week, and she didn't want to leave her mummy's side, which limited Chestnut's ability to spend more time on work. She still advanced, though, finishing the more complicated artwork, and we expect she'll conclude this series of images by the end of the weekend.

Pistachio:

I edited a lot of text, including the parts of the second quest I haven't yet reached posing. I wanted to go through them until the end to get a better sense of the more posing-influenced editing I'm doing. In the process, I also finished writing the dialogue spoken during sex. So, although I may come across something I have missed (for example, a hint or an achievement description), the writing is completed. Additionally, I coded in some of Chestnut's art and, in one of the longer dialogues, tried looking for ways to make the reading more engaging (adding an extra cutscene, which required more writing, and adding a dialogue choice to get the player's attention). We'll have to later test these to see what works better.

Next week's plan:

Chestnut will finish the traditional artwork, and then we will scan them. She will edit and polish them digitally, preparing them to be added to the game.

I may pause my work and add this event -- as I believe I mentioned earlier, I did a test. We're happy with the approach, but I would need to code things differently with Ren'py's animation and transform language, which should be fun. Last week, I did less posing than I had planned initially, so I want that to be my main focus next week.
