I know SpongeBob being autistic was presumably made by accident, but I wonder at what point did the show runners notice and just roll with it. Cause I can't imagine Tom Kenny being the only one on the team to notice
It'd be a fascinating thing to know behind the scenes in the writing room if they subtly add a few Autism markers in nowadays.
Until I was in my late teens, my autistic brain thought that window shopping meant shopping for windows.
I couldn't figure it out either until someone explained it meant like "shopping without buying anything" and I was like "that word doesn't make sense" lol
