Video: Thomas Episode 1 Review (Thomas & Gordon)
Really astonishing how authentically real these trains' personalities feel for a show made in 1984. Thomas feels like a legit bratty kid brother and Gordon feels like the stern older brother. Really enjoying reviewing season 1 of Thomas & Friends so far.

I love how you're recovering a show you really wanted to cover for yourself and for our viewing pleasure!! this is so awesome
If I were to just close my eyes and lsiten to Ringo I think I could really like the show
Thomas being cheeky is honestly funny 😂😂 it’s out of mischievousness and not malice which I don’t mind I’ve never watched Thomas as a kid, wasn’t my cup of tea nor was fireman Sam but the older episodes were charming and just easy going both of these shows and Bob the builder have been butchered not only by CGI but the writing too
Postman Pat is the best though.
I love how you are reviewing the episodes in order
Thanks! I hope to eventually cover all of season 1
I had always thought that Thomas coming along for the ride was an accident and Gordon just ran with it.
It's subtle but I think you're right. Gordon had been planning it out but also said "now's my chance" so I guess he just took the shot.
Even though each episode is only 5 minutes, it amazes me how Britt was able to make a fully cohesive story together, especially later on when they made original stories.
Interesting!
