I can't be the only person whose gut literally can't handle Beyond | Impossible meat replacements, can I? Back in the late 2010s-early 2020s I was looking to eat way more plant-based and thus would try to get as much Beyond | Impossible stuff while eating out as I could to help make it financially worthwhile for these places to sell it. Unfortunately, every single last time I've eaten it I've gotten a REALLY bad case of the Hershey Squirts like 20 minutes after I've STARTED eating it. My body does NOT like that Beyond | Impossible-type stuff, and bc I need protein along with the fat and carbs in my meal to not be hungry again 20 minutes later, am also mildly lactose-intolerant, don't love the texture or taste of eggs, often can't handle the taste of nuts enough to eat a whole dish centering them, and like tons of other autistic people also have IBS so sometimes I won't handle a dish centering beans, legumes or proteiny grains well, either, I've had to accept that oftentimes it's just not that feasible for me to try to eat meat-free while eating out. There are a few reliable vegetarian | vegan meals I've figured out for either at home or while eating out, and I do like getting bean and cheese burritos, but besides that I've mostly been taking solace in the fact I'm childfree and sterilized by my own choice so at least I'm not producing more meat eaters.
Another correction I realized-McDonald's actually did have salads BEFORE Super Size Me came out, mostly notably the McShaker Salads that they introduced in 2000, they were popular for a bit but food costs proved too high so they were phased out. Another expensive McDonald's failure was the McLean Deluxe they introduced in 1991, it was an attempt to branch out into health food as it was advertised as being "91% fat free" and that was achieved through use of lean beef patties and something called carrageenan(Basically seaweed). But people didn't really like the taste and it was gone by 1996. There was actually an episode of Penn and Teller Bullshit that talked about Fast Food and the myths behind some of the criticisms of it and it actually featured the then-CEO of Carl's Jr(forgot his name) responding to criticism over their unhealthy menu, saying they did offer healthier items like salads but they just never sold particularly well. P.S. One of those Arch Deluxe ads features a very young Jessica Biel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fb07uejDRYg
If you want Mozzarella sticks, go to Arbys. American Cheese isn't even cheese. We're not really sure what it is.
It's pretty good for what it is though. Arby's mozz sticks are pretty good tho.
From what I read from actual Pizza Hut employees the Priazzo did not in fact take 40 minutes to make, more like 15 at the most, still a longer then average wait time for a pizza but not insanely long. If it had actually taken 40 minutes it never would've lasted on the menu for as long as it did. You probably couldn't make an item like that today as it actually used special heating pins to cook the inside of the pizza and as far as I know they don't make those pins anymore.
I liked their salads the ones I had, they used spring mix and had really cool sliced carrots that were fun to eat, they were super thin like they were cut on a mandolin. I usually got a salad so I could get a McFlurry for afters.
Mighty Wings were so good, they were not "too spicy" at all.
I had their Mozz sticks and liked them.
Awesome video as always. Now I'm hungry. Lol.
I think Min can fix anything.
I’ve had a few pretty bad experiences at McDonalds before with their service
Love the video as always Strider! ❤️
