Poob my old house used to flood almost every year a good tip is go buy some garage shelves and keep everything off the floors. It might cost some money to get the shelves but it’ll be worth it if you wanna stay at that house for awhile

Poob if you see this, as someone who's also had flooding. Go to a hardware store or online and get a utility sump pump made for sucking water off the floor, it's way better then using a shop vac and needing to dump it. Sometimes they are called floor suckers. You just get some plastic line you attach to the pump throw the line in a drain put the pump on your floor and plug it in. Got mine for like 80 bucks.
