I don’t have to prove myself to others (comic)
Hey hey, greetings from freezing Germany!
A lot has changed in my life recently, so now I get to share more experiences from being in a relationship and meeting new people 👀. Sharing my learnings with you via comics 😂:
Progress video:
I’ve actually been visiting Belgium this week and despite it not being a foreign country for me (family is from Belgium), I’ve needed SO much rest. I tend to think just because I don’t work in a day means I shouldn’t be tired. Travel, noise, having to navigate airports? Nah, can’t understand why I’m tired at all! But the change of scenery was really good for me and I managed to write quite a few comics. Who would’ve thought that not leaving the house and never experiencing real life hinders creativity, huh?
I’ve been under a lot of pressure to make “great” comics ever since coming back after finishing work on the book, and it just hasn’t felt great. I don’t like “making content to make content” or trying to anticipate what people will like. Now, I’m having much more fun and doing whatever I feel like doing again. Right now, that means a lot of silly jokes, less heavy stuff and more journaling the mind opening things I’ve learnt - mainly things people or my therapist told me that made me stop and realize things about myself. Admittedly, it’s not all directly ADHD and a lot of it is having had a rough childhood on top of ADHD, but I think it’s still relevant, since I think a lot of people having grown up without having had their “otherness” understood and supported in childhood will have felt “othered” - does that make sense?
Maybe I should create another comic “brand”, that’s less ADHD and more trauma, attachment and all that. I’ve been thinking about that for a while. Guess I’ll do it once the time feels right and I feel like I have something important to say.
Here a few different comics I’m currently working on:
As always, thank you so much for your continued support, and again, sorry for being a bit behind on sharing great things for you here. To be honest, I think I might have a big fat burnout from working on the book (never done anything like that before and it’s about 300+ pages of deeply emotional, neurological, fully drawn and colored works).

Oof. This hits hard. My partner was dx with adhd at 50, and yeah….we feel this piece in our bones. Thank you for creating it 💜
I always love these comics ♥️ Thank you for making them!
Of course your comics are always very relatable, but (especially lately) they’re also just SO PRETTY! 😍 I love the way you use colours!
Thank you so much 😊 I’ve been trying a new format where I don’t have the panel framing around it, and I kinda like it 👀
