(Lots of photos for you) Learning traditional Uruguayan cooking! Today I’m making Tortas Fritas, a local favorite. First I’m mixing the dough, then I’ll fry them up in a pan. I think I’m getting pretty good at this!

There’s something so grounding about kneading dough by hand. I love taking my time, doing it slowly and calmly. The smell of fresh bread filling the kitchen and drifting out to the street... it’s pure magic. 🥖✨ Do you love that bakery smell when you walk by? It’s the ultimate feeling of home.
