Yeah, this is 100% accurate. We have no "scores" on accuracy for his weapon training on the Caster. The military doesn't know his parameters. You don't put the new guy on the Howitzer, even if it's fused to his hand. It was bad timing for Cort to show his stuff, but the fact that he showed restraint probably got him brownie point with the Sarge.

I'm on her side. She only met Cort days before; she has no idea if & how well Cort can handle the Starcaster, and given his history, Cort (rightfully!) has probably a less than "reliable/trustworthy" reputation in the Federation anyway. Trusting him blindly at this point and possibly endangering other federation ships is a lot to ask. Lets give her a chance and see how she trains Cort - given her abilities, I think he can learn a lot from her.

So she didn't even see ONE single target he could have assisted with? She sounds like a micromanager, she has to control everything. Maybe he should have just been a free agent. For the Dranglaex, that is. The Federation sucks. At this point it just feels like it's "Space America". Advanced in technology, but everything else isn't changed.
