OK, I see how this dynamic is going to work. Kayzee is clearly the brains of the operation and Captain Karada is the front Kayzee uses to get things done being the majority of humans wouldn't work with a robot with "rogue AI" qualities (a.k.a. thinks more for itself and has ideas). This kind of reminds me of a Star Wars fridge logic that the whole unspoken C story of a Episode IV," A New Hope", that no one originally knew because it was part of the second trilogy and came out decades before the first trilogy. That fridge logic (e.g. when you walk away after watching something and really think about it) was that we in the audience were watching for the first half of the movie a spy thriller where two rebel assets, Chewbacca and R2-D2, have a high level meeting with Obi-Wan Kenobi to transfer the schematics for the Death Star while Chewbacca' straight man, Han Solo, and R2-D2's straight man, C-3P0, are completely in the dark that they are part of a rebel plot to sabotage the Empire.
