Just a little life update blog thing

Hey everyone, sorry for being so quiet lately. For the past 6 weeks I've been working full-time on a circus performance called The Veil and it's been exhausting. We've been training 9 - 5 most days in a mixture of acrobatics, dance, acrobalance (lifting folks and carrying them on our shoulders), and for me specifically, quadrupedal stilts. That's me in the video messing around before rehearsal :)

We performed the show on saturday and it was an amazing success! Despite the fact that my mask slipped down over my eyes during my performance and I had to do a whole quad-stilt routine with almost no visibility! Thankfully we had drilled the routine enough that I knew how many steps it was to get to certain marks and could vaguely see out of the nose hole of the mask XD

We've only got 1 week left on this year long circus course and it's wild to imagine what life will be like once we're done. Thankfully I've already had some good reactions to my stilt performance so it seems like there might be some stiltwalking gigs in my near future!

Apart from that, we did UKGE at the start of the month and it was our best year yet! Not only did we make a good profit but I also got to hear so many beautiful stories from you guys and other people about the impact my games have had. Making games can be quite a lonely experience at times so getting to hear how my work has touched your lives has honestly made my year so thank you all! <3 I should have offered so many more hugs than I did but I was con-frazzled and usually only realised after folks left.

What's Next?

Now, with circus wrapping up, I'm looking forward to actually getting on top of my house and garden again XD Training for 8 hours a day and working the rest has meant very little time or energy for things like cutting the grass or rebuilding all the fences that fell down in that storm at the start of the year or actually flooring the attic.

Until then though, all of my excess energy is going on the Death & Pottery Kickstarter and the final For Small Creature Such As We Kickstarter Expansion!
