Introducing Fiction Rewards!
Before we dive into the meat of this post, I just want to say thank you all so much for your support. We hit the 300 Patron goal today! When I first started making DELVE back in 2020, I never imagined that I would be able to make a living as a game designer. Now, thanks to all of you, I am able to spend my time creating and not have to worry about whether or not I can pay my bills each month.
It really is a dream come true and I can't thank you enough!
It has actually been so helpful that it has encouraged me to not just break my writer's block that I struggled with for years but to actually be excited about writing again. Enough that I have written my first novel and will be self-publishing it under my own imprint;
Copper Fox Fiction
Copper Fox, some of you might recognise, is the name of the tavern in Apothecaria.
I owe a lot to Apothecaria. The setting for Apothecaria was actually one I made for two long-term TTRPG campaigns. The first was a one-on-one campaign with my partner where she played a witch's apprentice who got her powers later in life. This is where High Rannoc, the Copper Fox Tavern, and the madness of the elves comes from!
The second was a group campaign with my partner and two closest friends at the time. They played as children in a fantasy theme park made by a wizard and then as adults reunited after many years when their shared friend passed away. It was a great campaign that we still reference to this day.
That setting is also shared by my first novel Wolf & Fang Detective Agency: The God Thief. It's a sapphic comedy fantasy about a werewolf and vampire detective duo on the hunt for a stolen statue of a god who uncover a divine conspiracy. I'll share more in a later post, don't you worry.
Before I started on this indie TTRPG path, I wanted to be a video game writer and an author. I actually did a MA in Creative Writing in 2019 because I love writing.
Writing is at the heart of all of my projects. DELVE encourages you to write the story of a fallen dwarven hold; Apothecaria, the journal of a witch; FSCSAW, the journey of your captain and crew as they explore the galaxy together.
I'm so happy to be in a position in my life now where I'm not afraid to share my work and so I present to you:

Each month I will endeavour to share either a short story, early-access chapter of a larger story, solo RPG journals, or an E-Book copy of a novel if one is released that month. Like my games, commercially released rewards will be on a 3 month timer.
My intention is to use Copper Fox Fiction to encourage myself to keep writing and to put my work in front of people like I did with DELVE and Apothecaria and all my other games.
