Hey guys!
So I have literally never seen ANYTHING regarding Green Lantern. I don't know shit about him. At all 😂
A lot of people were telling me that I didn't need to know anything going into this show, so I said fuck it. Let's get it!!!!
And immediately! This shit captured my attention.
It feels like if a superhero show had a baby with Reacher. Which is an amazing combination for me because I fucking LOVE Reacher. Even though, let's be real, Reacher is kind of a superhero himself 😂 Gosh he's attractive.
I really like how grounded this feels so far. It doesn't feel like I'm watching some massive over the top superhero spectacle. It feels darker, more serious, almost like a detective show... except one of these dudes has a fucking magic space ring.
And then the ending of this episode?! WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?!
I'm liking this a lot already! Great suggestion so far, guys!

@4:20 I didn't notice this before, but you can see behind him a bunch of holes lined up and going up and up. This has been going on for years and potentially since all of them were old enough to stand up and talk.
In Newfoundland, Canada, they refer lunch as dinner and “dinner“ as supper, so it couldn't be worse then that 😂

Every episode has an interview of the cast at the end that I think it worth watching. I never miss it.
The lawyer that helps hal out in court is also the voice of dipper!
You shoulda watched the movie first its not amazing but it gives really good background to the character

I was young with Ryan’s GL so I loved it, haven’t actually watched it since I was a kid 25 now so should give it a go again, but expecting Alex to after this surely
I love how blind Alex is to GL, not even knowing the ring makes me think he’ll enjoy this so much more than me and I loved it, but I also know a lot so it’s a different love Edit: also this means he knows absolutely nothing, so people be smart and don’t spoil things such as (spoilers)- who hals mentor is and the colour he’s associated with

You have seen green lantern in Superman lol but that was a different one from Hal and John Stewart
I understand him not realising, in superman it kinda just shows and doesn’t explain any of the powers. I might be wrong but does guy even mention the ring, I know he does the core when confronting supes but I can’t remember if he even says like “my ring” lol. Also I don’t think Alex realises this is linked with superman and the other dceu stuff
OMG! Perfect timing! Personally, I loved and still love the Green Lantern movie. I recommend watching some Justice League movies and checking out the movie for more info.
Alien asking: “Does your ring have enough power?” - wasnt about the ring, but to make Hal be afraid which makes him powerless cuz ring drives on will+being fearless (so even with 100% or 1% it can be great or useless) . Hal clocked that shit instantly and that makes his experience so precious

Green Lanterns are a Corps of protectors. Their rings are powered by their will. There are also other spectrums each powered by different emotions, such as fear, hope, rage, compassion, and avarice(greed). There are also white and black lanterns, which represent life and death.
I should also add, the green lantern rings create constructs but also allow them to fly, send communications to other corps members, and translates alien languages
So the reason ppl talk smack about Green Lantern is mostly due to Ryan Reynolds movie in 2011. It was actually supposed to be the start of the DCEU, but it was so bad they decided that Man of Steel would be the first DCEU movie

Green lanterns are a group of space cops who protect the galaxy there’s one lantern for each sector of the cosmos like Hal basically operates in earth and that space area

dude you should definitely check this out then. It's like designed for people who aren't into it. It's more of a mystery/buddy cop show and there's little to no actual superhero-ing

yeah there was Green Lantern movie in 2012 starring Ryan Reynolds as Hal and it wasn’t received very well. between then and now DC has been afraid to touch Green Lantern.
