Great list! Would definitely also add Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings 'It's a Holiday Soul Party' - it's full of bangers but my favourite is 'Ain't no Chimnrys in the Projects'
Christmas Tree On Fire - Holly Golightly
The Belle and Sebastian John Peele Christmas album is also incredible. If you were to take one song from it onto this list, their rendition of the 12days of Christmas is very charming.
Hey my name is also Scout, happy holidays!!

Hard Candy Christmas could not be more right on. Now for next year, if you can find it , Kate Bush recorded a Christmas song, if you can believe it!

Very happy to see the Partridge Family on this playlist -- their album A PARTRIDGE FAMILY CHRISTMAS CARD is one of my strongest recommendations for the season, since it's Shirley Jones and David Cassidy singing with LA's finest session musicians (a.k.a. The Wrecking Crew).
Aud Lang Syne by The Real McKenzies is an excellent Scottish punk take, and I highly recommend "Fruitcake" by Fred Sneider and the Superions are great choices for us who work retail and would rather eat one of those ammonia pass out packets than hear "Jingle Bell Rock" one more god damn time.
No shade to those who like "Jingle Bell Rock", but after hearing it constantly through my work week, hard pass.
Hard Candy Christmas is in hard rotation during the holiday season for me! Can’t wait to listen to some of these. I also suggest Christmas Without You by Trixie Mattel
https://open.qobuz.com/playlist/48557567 I switched to Qobuz from Spotify recently because fascism, so here's the Qobuz version. It's missing Santa’s Got a Brand New Bag because I couldn't find that version, and also Santa Baby because I really hate that song.

I have a surprisingly large percentage of this list on CD, but some new targets have been acquired!
As a die-hard Grinch, I can still admit that Nat King Cole's Adeste Fideles is beautiful. And while I'm more familiar with Phoebe Bridgers' cover of If We Make It Through December, the original is very solid.
Ben Folds put out a Christmas album last year called Sleigher that I can’t recommend highly enough. There’s only one cover (the Christmas Song) and the rest are original songs. If you’re sick of hearing the same songs over and over again give his album a listen. I really like “Me and Maurice” and “The Bell That Couldn’t Jingle.”
So glad to see Hard Candy Christmas on the list! ♥️
