The checklist...

I end up writing out so many task checklists when I'm working. They're usually in physical notebooks too. It helps me get focused and feel like I'm making actual progress. Something about the physically writing, then crossing off the list, makes it seem more manageable. Otherwise it feels a lot like digging in loose sand. The deeper and faster I dig the faster the sides slide in and fill the hole again.

But this week for progress I updated some crafting resource points. There's a new stone and an updated wood gathering point. I also added a few new recipes to the crafting table. I'm going to keep chipping away at the crafting recipes with old environment props and the new ones that I make.

But speaking of crafting and decoration and stuff, so I've been toying with the idea of making floors and walls that the player can place, very similar to the Fallout 4 settlement system. The problem here is I'd need to write some sort of snapping system for the walls and floors to align properly together. I'm not totally sure it's worth the time investment though? Like if I have cool and interesting layouts for player housing and property then is there really the need to let the player construct buildings from scratch?

Then I'm still chipping away at dialogues and scripting still. I have finished the rough dialogue for 2 more gate encounters, there's one left that I want to squeeze in for the next build. I also did a polish pass on the banking premium account tutorial. And I've also been juggling quest flags and triggers for the blacksmith and the general goods store. I think I have everything I need and it's just a matter of covering all the different player routes and options.

Alright, gonna go make some coffee and then get back to work.

I've had another idea: a hairstylist! This would be an NPC who could change the player's hairstyle for a price. The thing is, though, is that he/she would be able to provide hairstyles not found in character creation, perhaps being able to provide more complex hair solutions than the player can reasonably do himself/herself. Perhaps this hairstylist could even do multicolored hair, with the player able to customize the two or three hair colors. I've got two examples: the mohawk and a braid. Maybe you could have a short mohawk be an option in the character creation menu, but for this NPC, I'm thinking a medium to long length mohawk. Here's an example(https://www.artstation.com/artwork/qK1ve). The second is a braid, straight outta the new castlevania game that got announced and showcased at the State Of Play event last week. Here's a picture(https://www.screenhub.com.au/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2026/02/castlevania-belmonts-curse-.jpg). Speaking of multicolored hair, here's a pic of Red She-Hulk(https://i0.wp.com/comicbookinvest.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/CBSI_RSHandtheGang.jpg?w=900&ssl=1) Another hairstyle that I think looks good is the Hellion's from Darkest Dungeon 2. If red wild hair is meant to represent fury and unrestrained passion, then putting it into a ponytail is controlled fury and focused passion. Well, that's my take, but what do I know? (https://darkestdungeon.wiki.gg/images/thumb/HEL-SkillE.png/800px-HEL-SkillE.png?5d2fcc) Here's something else: race specific teeth! To make the races more distinct from one another, I propose giving each their own unique set of teeth. *Humans have a normal set of teeth. *Werewolves, in their human form, have elongated canines. This'd be on the upper and lower rows of teeth. *Vampires have a pair of elongated pair of upper canines for that blood sucking goodness. *Demons have sharp premolars and sharp canines, top and bottom. Sharp angles convey aggression, after all! *Slimes have teeth of whatever race they choose to approximate. *Not sure about Frogs, though real frogs only have small teeth on the upper jaw. Do what you will with that. *Not sure about goblins, since I don't know too much about them. What do you think?

Hi Dev, just a shout out to your masterpiece that I absolutely love your game. Regardless of missing content and other placeholder stuff I truly enjoyed my gameplay but I've got an idea to make the game better. This would be to add a defeated sex option in dialogue to other character or enemy. In this way it would be easier to get our desired sex scene without fighting the NPC. Also I'd like moaning sounds to be added to female characters or female players and grunt sounds to Male characters or male players

Thanks! Totally! So there will definitely be more options for scenes that aren't tied into combat. And I want to make most base NPCs non-hostile and so the player can talk to them and "surrender" to them for a scene animation. There's decent amount of behavior tree and scripting to do to support that but it's on the road map. Moaning sounds are also in progress. I've done a few NPCs and I'm slowly adding sounds as I go back and polish up their scenes. I also need to write some logic for human NPCs to handle it selecting the appropriate voice pack for that NPC. Thanks for the feedback and input! It's appreciated!

Thanks I really appreciate it! Yeah, I have that tendency to push things a bit too hard at times. But you're totally right and it really is a morale booster getting comments like this! Thanks!
