38:45 It begins. We should have known from the tone of AJ's voice where we would end up.
Madame aWOOga
Oh just to clear things up about Richard’s age: in the original episodes he was assumed to be 17-18 (since in Waylaid in the Windy City he mentioned he was in juvie). HOWEVER. In the novels, they recon him to be 21. Which also means they sent him to big-boy prison. And I mean that just infers his “relationship” with Jellyfish was darker than just pranks and pinning things on him. But I digress.
they played that scary music because to Focus On The Family there's NOTHING more backwards and unthinkable than a business license being granted to someone not pure of heart
Crazy that AJ predicted Edwin AND the tunnel system throughout odyssey—including under Blackgaard’s Castle—in this episode alone. Anyway I’m back with more fun facts from the novels: canonically Edwin’s legal name is no longer Ronald Edwin Blackgaard :/
Electric Palace would have been a way better name for an arcade
FWIW email has been around since the 1960s, and what they use the modem for (connecting to an individual computer) is basically teletype, which has been around since the 1920s.
ASCII teletype doesn't require a modem, per se; what a modem does is modulate and demodulate (mo-dem) arbitrary data.
More than anyone else, Regis Blackgaard sounds like Mae West: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifQ-7YwVG_U
(Only really the verbal ejaculations.)
Richard Maxwell: any relation to Ghislaine?
they’re siblings
