Winchester is my favorite character overall. He's so unapologetically himself and while he never fully loses his superiority complex, I love watching him warm up to the rest of the unit as the seasons go on.
Grew up in Sioux Falls, SD and we had a Ground Round. Absolute brain blast when I heard that name
The purpose of cribbage is to cheat shamelessly, according to the only guy I know who plays it. The understanding is supposed to be that everyone cheats as much as they can and you can't demand a retraction if you don't catch them in the act.
Started listening because Memoria and this is my new favorite pod! Now onto the bummer part lol I had my life totally go to shit and I've been listening to like 3 or 4 a day and it's definitely helped keep me going. Keeping the spirits up while I clean a cancer ward is truly crushing some days and I've gotten so many laughs from you that I can hopefully pass on to patients. So thank you all, very sincerely. and I just recommended the cities skylines episode to a very nice lady on a dating app!
I do have to say, while The Shards may suck ass, the Troye Sivan song in the soundtrack is fucking fantastic.
Ho ho ho! Wishing you all three a Merry Kirkmas and a jolly fall! Always remember to count or not count gang violence!
Big fan of old people card games here. Cribbage it's more of a matching game like the melding of Rummy games because people score every round. Euchre is definitely a trick taking game. obviously this is very important
I used to, under age 10, come home from school, plop my ass down in front of the cabinet-mounted CRT TV in the kitchen, tune in to TV Land and watch M*A*S*H until dinner. I fucking love Bangers of Mash.
The compilation of all the different voices David Ogden Stiers could do is so impressive! It’s cool that he could be both the serious creepy villain, and the weird sidekick in the same movie, and then sound completely different for all of his characters and on M*A*S*H, all of which sound completely different from his regular voice. Wow. I am obsessed with whatever accent he’s doing in these clips. I know it’s supposed to be a rich person from New England or something, but then I would expect it to be the same as JFK and it doesn’t sound like that to me. It is really classy though. Do people talk like that in real life? And unrelated, but Gorda’s voice acting is also very good!
My favorite clip show remains the one from Clerks: the Animated Series. It was supposed to be the second episode. As I recall, it was aired first due to network incompetence.
Scrub Daddy by a mile
I usually listen to the Mash episodes when I'm doing the big stressy 6 monthly rental inspection clean around the house. This time the real estate came like 2 weeks early so I just missed it out on the full experience. Luckily there's some new cobwebs in the corner I can stretch up and paw at while I listen to this and pretend I have to clean the oven again.
On British and Irish TV MASH is on conservatively for at least 4 hours a day.
Every time I brought up Star Wars in my house my grandma would RAGE about the time she went with my grandpa to deliver a Christmas tree to their ranch and how DEEPLY offended she was that he let his pigs in the house.
it's the pigs
Me, hearing a cat: *starts looking for my cat to see why he's meowing* *he plays silently with his ball toy* What is...oh its the recording
Ground Round is for me, actually. Had one in my hometown.
There’s still a ground round in Maine!
I love the fact that Winchester's family left Hyannis Port because the Kennedys moved next door.
We had a Ground Round in my town in Wisconsin! I got that joke.
HOLY SHIT JOSH i used to go to a ground round in jackson michigan with my grandma when i was a kid. no idea if it's related to the grand rapids one, but thanks for the memory blast.
I for one welcome Gorda’s input. Let her speak!!
GIVE HER THE MIC BOYS
Gorda is the Worst of All Possible Guests. But she's so cute!
IT'S TIME FOR THE GOAT DAVID OGDEN STIERS!!!
3:54 for Sweetie's input
Gorda really said, "They can't see me this time? No worries they will HEAR me."
