"I Know Why"
Hey Worsties,
For the interstitial this week, you got to hear a taste of the "Norah Jones Bond Theme" but, since we ended up recording the whole thing, I thought it would be fun to share it as a separate track. While not technically a song from the archives of Dr. Samuel Bultch, D.D.S., I'm sure the good doctor is looking down from whatever plane of existence he finds himself in (he was always partial to Mount Olympus) and whispering to himself:
"Well, it's not a-ha's 'The Living Daylights'."
But what is, ya know?
What is?

"I Know Why"
Music by Norah Jones
Lyrics by A.J. Ditty
Performed by Eleanor Philips
feat. Devon as "Jimmy Bonds"
Norah:
I SHAGGED SOME LADIES IN THE SUN
DON’T KNOW WHY I DIDN’T COME
I KILLED SOME CRONIES JUST FOR FUN
DON’T KNOW WHY I DIDN’T COME
DON’T KNOW WHY I DIDN’T COME
WHEN I SAW HER CRESTING WAVES
PUT SOME MEN IN EARLY GRAVES
INSTEAD OF THRUSTING IN THE SAND
I’LL CATCH CUMMIES IN MY HAND
MY HEART IS DRENCHED IN BRINE
AND I WILL MAKE HER MINE: THE OCEAN
THRUSTIN’ IN THE ENDLESS SEA
I WOULD DIE IN ECSTASY
BUT STILL I WOULD BE DOWN TO BONE
SAILING ON THIS BOAT ALONE
MY HEART IS DRENCHED IN BRINE
AND I WILL MAKE HER MINE: THE OCEAN
(Instrumental)
Jimmy Bonds:
I’M COMING, SWEET CREST-IDA. JIMMY BONDS IS GOING TO FUCK THE SEA!!!!
(We hear Bond try to fuck the sea. Then:)
Norah:
CAN’T CATCH FISH WITHOUT SOME CHUM
DON’T KNOW WHY I DIDN’T COME
YOU CAN’T SWIM TILL YOU HAVE SWUM
DON’T KNOW WHY I DIDN’T COME
OH THOSE DEPTHS I’D LIKE TO PLUMB
AND THAT’S WHY I DIDN’T COME

Who knew that Michael Bay could do a convincing Norah Jones impression!
Holly crap, you guys know way too many way too talented people. She really elevated AJ's silly lyrics
Relatively new fan of the pod, working my way back through the episodes and it has just been such a joy. Thank you so much for what you do. I wanted to throw out 2 possible episode ideas. 1. The 1992 Alone In the Dark. 3d graphics, voice acting, survival horror in a DOS game? If Resident Evil is the bacon, this was The Pig. 2. As someone with a midwest/Young-earth/homeschooled Christian background, one of the few forms of media I was allowed to enjoy was the Christian artist Carman. Carman was a singer/rapper/whatever with 4 Grammy nominations, a live action VHS series that covered all the fun things Christian parents are too afraid to talk to their children about, and supposedly there is a Carman: The Movie in the works. (If you do Carman, please watch the Occult episode of the live action series. Amazing stuff) I can hear you covering both of these in my head, I would love it to be real. I just listened to "The Dig" episode, and you talking about the scam about the puzzles not having hints to sell game guides reminded me that my father had to pay phone-sex rates to call Interplay's tip line to solve Alone. Love your show so much, you aren't just fun and great at what you do, you are *important* in the world right now.
Genuinely really incredible impression.
Oh Devon, you international treasure 😍
Cant wait for the guys to get their first grammy nomination
beautiful.
