My students look at me like I'm a prophet when I point out the arrow in the FedEx logo.

can confirm that Mussolini: Son Of The Century is quite good. (it's surprisingly funny, Marinelli plays Il Duce as a loser and a clown who is also a terrifying madman.)

Glad we never ended up with one of those in the US. 🫠

Oh, crap. Now that I'm listening to the show again, Brian is saying it's a later on pizza mission. I wish he mentioned that before AJ told me to turn off the podcast

I went out, bought Death Stranding along with a PS5, and played it to the pizza delivery side mission. I guess it was kinda cool but not that noteworthy.

Being a barista in 2020 and remembering 1) the woman who said “herd immunity” a lot who described her COVID bubble (ie her, her wife and all the people who served them at stores and restaurants) as being “in a polyamorous relationship” and 2) the precise moment in like November when a guy waiting for his 1% macchiato told me he’d gone out for dinner the night previous (outdoor dining) and was put off by how “no one working seemed to want to be there”

So many fond fond memories of that year. So many.

How dare you insult the art of Pizza-do Only thing that got me through some of the bossfights

I'm only one hour in but I wonder if that game's Snake is called Neil Vana because they too did a cover of the Man Who Sold the World. like, Big Boss is the original, V is the Midge Ure cover and Neil is... I'm not typing that lmao

Oh god dammit, you couldn't wait until it released on PC could you? Ffs. Guess I'll come back at an indeterminate point in the future to listen.

Mostly off-topic, but if you hate yourself enough you could use _Horses_ as an excuse to talk about _Salò_. What if, say, Eli Roth made a movie called _Little Saint James, or the 120 Days of Sodom_ featuring thinly veiled stand-ins for public figures (including the sitting US President) doing Pizzagate-QAnon shit, with _Hostel_-style special effects, and then some actual QAnon person murdered him in an apparently hate crime after filming wrapped but before the film was released? That’s _Salò_! A movie I don’t feel any desire to watch at any point in my life!

I think it's cause I was relistening to the Gerbert episode but NGL Brian has serious Benny Brush energy by the end of the ad at the beginning lol That out of the way, time for More Kojima!
