GIVE US YOUR VOICE (For Our Year in Review Special)
Hey everybody!
As many of you know, we have a bit of a tradition around here where we have a Year in Review special where we revisit some of our favorite memories from the previous 50-some odd episodes and give our community their time to shine.
This is where you come in. Whether you've just started listening or have been around for a while, we want to know what our show has meant to you, our beloved listeners, this year. So we're giving it back to you to shape our retrospective.
As per usual, there are three ways to participate:
Leave a comment on this post about your favorite TWOAPW moment(s) this year, which episode(s) the moment(s) came from, and the timestamp if you're feeling especially helpful.
Call our listener hotline at (917) 720-0943 so you can tell us in your own words about your favorite moment, your favorite episode, or just what the show has meant for you overall this year. This number goes straight to voice mail, so have your story ready when you call. This is your chance to appear on the show: we may use the recording of your voicemail, in part or in whole, as part of this episode!
If you can't easily call a US phone number and want to hear your voice in this episode, send an email to worstofallpossibleworlds@gmail.com with an audio file attached (and please, for the love of God, keep it under 90 seconds). As with the hotline, we may use these recordings, in part or in whole, as part of the episode.
Please note: we'll try to get as many of you in there as possible but there are so many of you now oh my god look how MANY of you there are!!!
We look forward to hearing from you and, as always, a merry arguing season to us all, and to all, a good fight.
Your Worst of All Possible Hosts,
Josh, Brian, and A.J.

I’m super late to this because work has been so hectic but wondering when the deadline is? I’d love to submit a message as this podcast has really made my year and been so uplifting on the days that really needed it. It’s been pretty tough recently and your uploads have rlly been a highlight even if i don’t get most of the references lol. I’m incredibly bad at remembering the names of things so i just let it all wash over me. As a British Jewish dude with zero knowledge of American Evangelism i’d say that all of the Whitt episodes have been a horrific, perplexing and brilliant experience ! my fave episode was Airplane bc it’s a film i watched with my dad when i was about 8 and didn’t get a single joke so it was super fun hearing it picked apart
I’m sure somebody else is gonna post Horse Mourner, so may I recommend: #190 2:21:26 - no legs jimmy (one of my favourite Brian impressions) #194 48:05 - you must whip it #202 1:02:30 - the prayer of jabez and of course, #207 12:15-13:04, ya big homo
the arguing season truly does come earlier every year
I went through a lot of the back catalog, as a M*A*S*H* fan I love those episodes but my favorite episode is the magic school bus episode. Specifically the bit about the digestive system pc game and those Unhinged audio clips 😁
Sent in a voice recording, however I will say that I can think of no podcast other than this one that has elicited such genuine emotional response from me this year. I've cried multiple times (Midnight Mass episode hit me like a truck, the ongoing quest of Marvin Mulligan, As Is just ALL of it, and Casablanca) I've laughed so much more than I can possibly recount (though AJ's horse corner always kills me, Brian's ability to just infuriate the other two with a shit eating grin I can practically see through the audio waves, and Josh honest to god is like a sniper sometimes with snarky lines or just absolutely fantastically delivered terrible jokes) and I can say with no hyperbole that having a new episode to listen to of this show every week is one of the absolute highlights of my week. Keep it up, please, not just because you are fantastic at it. Not just because I need to see if the string and corkboard theories I have for where Whit's Endless Summer is going is correct. But because you three are more than just a light in a darkened room, you're sparks hitting tinder every week and spreading a fire of joy each time.
It’s like morning radio done by people who never finished theater degrees
This was the year I binged most of this podcast back catalog and this became my new favourite podcast. The Devious Dutchman trilogy ad-story blew me away, the conversion bit had me in tears laughing. About episodes that came out this year: Your Midnight Mass, Bloodborn, Bourdain, Edith Finch and Virginia Woolf episodes were incredibly meaningful. More than anything, I would like to thank you for the As Is episode. The episode was phenomenal. The bits of the play and the discussion phenomenally delivered. I cried during this. I am not part of the community and it moved me so much. Thank you so much for the great conversations and the great art that is this pod. Thank you.
The best thing about this podcast, above its litany of positive features, is the earnestness. The emotional honesty. I wouldn't call Anthony Bourdain a hero, but his impact on anyone who's picked up a spatula in the past 20 years can't be overstated. The boys coverage of him ran the gamut and in the closing segment i was right there with you cutting the proverbial onion. Thank you for that.
Something about the show I appreciate the most. Me and my dad worked together in a theater for years, he’s worked there for nearly his whole life. So my relation with theater as an art form is heavily influenced by that work perspective. And I have a lot of resentment to the theater for being a place of work not art, that my father chose to give all his time instead of his family. But listening to your show and the way you talk about the art, especially as not just audience members but people who yourselves have given it your work like I have, like my father did. Gives me a way to appreciate it for its art and it does help soothe those bitter feelings about the rigging and the curtains and the costume racks. Thanks.
The Casablanca episode made me tear up on a long train ride. The discussion of what song we'd stand for with the internationale playing out the episode got to me deeply. The fact it can go from that to horse corner and goku inflation is amazing and worth the price of admission. - ElizabethGash27
