Impeccable Fashion + New Clothes and Skin Textures
Greetings dear Patrons, Sonia here for your weekly dose of Paralives content!
On today's topic, we’ll showcase some of the greatest outfits created to this day! We just happened to work on various unrelated items so we’ve combined them in a fun and original way to create outfits with the help of our finest model.
Here’s our most cherished nameless Parafolk, wearing the latest items from the Paramaker. How does he make everything look so good?!

New Tattoos
This week, Léa worked on some amazing new designs for tattoos. Here’s a close-up!
Here are the newest tattoos placed on a Parafolk’s arm. A quick reminder that they can be placed anywhere on the body, can be recolored and their opacity is modifiable!
New Clothes
An apron to cook without messing up your clothes, don’t forget to use layers and patterns for an extra cute look!
A cozy knitted sweater perfect for cold days.
Some mid-thigh socks that won't slip down by the end of the day.
Fishnets, available in various densities.
Garden boots, ideal for your daily puddle-jumping. Available with patterns as well!
New Body Hair
New body hair for arms, legs and torso with various intensities and textures available for every Parafolks. Their color and opacity can be adjusted.
Improved Skin Textures
Acknowledging the feedback about the lines drawn on the body being too numerous and too harsh in some places, we've worked on improving our Parafolks’ skin textures:

Hi, the pecs seem a bit off, n some of the lines seem unusually deep, could u guys check the P subreddit, someone made some changes, that might be nice to see n take from. Though I love you guys' aesthetic, soft, varied, ranged, patchy like real skin, light splodge n flushy-ed animated feel, n color gradients everywhere(like real skin, n how people are seen in lights), unlike single color stuff, though some humans do have skin like that. Makeup looks do that, i guess for those options, too, and for what it is
I know this is an old post but I agree. There should only be lines were there’s less fat and the line still need to be softer. More shading than lines.
Hi Paralives team! I love the bodyhair, but some of the upper arm and thigh hair looks a bit like cellulite. Cellulite is great to have as its own thing and is great for inclusivity, but currently the hair looks more like that than hair. Love the work you've put into everything.
I’m in love with all the socks/fishnets and body hair! Also tysm for making the knees less pronounced 🙏🏻 I’m so excited this all looks great!
random question, will there be a bulge vs flat crotch toggle with underwears? 😅

Yes! Much better body lines! Now the skin looks more clean, although I'd still remove a little more on the lumbar region, but this is a huge improvement, I'm so happy💚

The only thing i didn't like about the old skin were the knees, and now I LOVE the new knees and skin. Amazing!
The textures look a lot better! Will they change depending on the para’s body type? Like lean, muscular, overweight?😇
personally i always like the original skin texture, but the revised version doesn't take away too much from the original (for which im super grateful) and hopefully this will ease the minds of players who weren't a big fan when the public gets to see

Does the body hair for the torso work as a single asset? Or can you mix and match different chest hair and belly hair?

As a baker I absolutely *adore* the aprons! I seriously can’t wait to play with different colors and patterns. Would love to see a chef’s hat and maybe some oven mittens or something in the future! Or an apron that has things like a rolling pin/rubber spatula etc. sticking out of the front pockets. The improved skin textures look amazing, especially around the front/back of the knees. I actually don’t mind some of the extra lines in areas like the torso, because it feels like there’s a bit more texture. Perhaps some additional shadows/shading or other little details can help with that while still keeping the softer lines that everyone likes? Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but I was wondering if you guys have any plans to include common medical/movement aids in customization? Things like hearing aids, canes, wheelchair, mobility cane for visual impairments etc. You guys have put some fantastic emphasis on inclusivity and diversity, both in cosmetic ways as well as accessibility features for the game itself. As a wheelchair user it would be really nice to have some representation for the first time in a game like this. Even if it’s not initially part of the base game and is something added later, I know a lot of us in the disabled community (many of whom love to play cozy games like this) would love to be able to truly make ourselves and have that representation in a life sim game (particularly one as awesome as this one!)

Yess!! Improved skin texture!! It looks amazing, this art style is so beautiful. With this update, for me the game is perfect now :D Can't wait to make my own parafolks
Absolutely love the new skin textures, they look fantastic - it's made a world of difference! The skin details are much more natural looking now - thank you for implementing the changes and hope it wasn't too much extra work for the team. The new clothes look awesome, too. Can't wait to play this game!

The adjusted models look good :) There's a difference, but the spirit of the skin texture remains, I expect everyone should be happy with this ! Looking at the, um, stylish yeah let's go with stylish, thigh high neon stockings that Mr. Mustache is wearing here (and who am I to dismiss his fashion sense, really ?!), I was wondering if we'd have a way to disable some PAM assets *from inside the game*. I've recently started adding mods to my copy of That Other Game™ (yes, it did take me that long), and one thing that enrages me is that if I find an asset that doesn't work as intended when I'm browsing the equivalent of the PAM, there is no way to find how it's named to delete the file (should the file be poorly named, and they often are especially in an ocean of content) when there is 5 different files named the same way with just the number at the end changing (is that file ModDevName_StylishNeonStockings_3 ? In the wise words of Mark Wahlberg : maybe, maybe not, maybe f yourself). Meanwhile I know games that allow disabling and/or uninstalling mods from inside the game, and it's so much more convenient ! You can see what you're deleting !!! Anyway, back to my original question : how is it gonna work in Paralives ? And will it maybe work with basegame assets too, since the game itself works like a mod ?
Thank you! :) That's a good question! Right now, when mouse hovering items in the Paramaker menu, it shows its name in the modding tools so it's easy to find the item and disable it. We might improve this and show additional info like the exact mod it is coming from

Wow.... I love the reduction in the lines. So so so much better (in my opinion, sorry devs). The apron is awesome, the knee socks are also awesome.... erm... is it too much to ask for a holey version of both the socks and the fishnets?? Amazing post. Thank you Sonia. I can't wait to make that apron checks fit on a short skirt for my teen paras.

I love the new skin texture especially the front & back of the knees. Also, a major thank you for the face texture not having that red ruddiness across the Para's nose area below the eyes!! I just noticed that. 💗

absolutely LOVE the new skin textures, i think they're perfect this way! and i love that there is literally something for everyone, realistic features like body hair but also being so customisable that you can go absolutely wild as well as ofc simply omit it all together

Simply obsessed!! A question that I forgot to ask but got reminded of cuz of the hair and tattoo's. Will top-surgery/other scars from e.g. open-heart etc be a thing? If not I'll happily make and mod these though!! <3
