Sebastian is preparing to move in and we recruited a 3D Animator!
Hello!
This week, we can finally introduce you to Alice, a new 3D Animator on the Paralives team! She's very talented and we're all so excited to have her with us! She's gonna work on all the character animations in the game. We wanted to introduce Alice to the Patrons first, we will make this post public next week. Here's a little something she wrote to introduce herself:
Hi there! :)
I am so happy to be a part of this incredible adventure that is Paralives, there is honestly not another project I'd like to work on more than this one.
I've always been (like everyone on the team) a huge fan of simulation games, I started very young playing the first sims games and since then I bought EVERY single expansion. It was a really big part of me growing up and what started my interest for other games.
I am also a lot into indie games (Stardew Valley, Kynseed, Night in the Woods...), building games (Parkitect, Planet Zoo...) but also point and clicks (Oxenfree, Broken Age, Deponia.. and special mention to the old ones <3).
Well you get it I like video games!
More on the personal/job side, as far as I can remember I always knew that I wanted to be a 3D animator. The first Toy Story was really a big turning point for me, I immediately knew that I wanted to give life to characters and tell stories.
This is why I went to an Art school. After graduation I worked in various fields: TV series, video games, movies... And loved it every single day. My goal for Paralives is to be able to bring fluid realistic animations that will help the players to immerse themselves in the game, but also ones that will make you love the Parafolks and help define their personalities.
I am really looking forward to contribute to create a very lively world, with complex social interactions, fun and colorful NPCs! I feel so lucky to now be a part of this journey, I love the fact that everyone is so creative and come up everyday with new amazing ideas for the game, always trying to incorporate as much as possible from the community ideas.
I can't wait to see how Paralives will grow and evolve, and I'm sure you do too.
Thanks for reading <3

Sebastian Update
In other news, Sebastian, a new male Para that the Patrons designed together, is preparing to move in! He still has some work to do in the new house but we're looking forward to introduce Sebastian to you once he has settled in and has some free time! Please keep this info and screenshot secret for now :)
Have a great weekend and take care!
Alex

Welcome Alice 🥰 It is nice, that team is full of women (except Alex). It will be great to see, what woman's point of view will offer. But I hope to see male member as next, we need really diverse team
Welcome Alice !!
Welcome Alice and I'm looking forward to experiencing your creativity in Paralives! ❤
■ Alrighty, Alice. Welcome to the Community! Excited to see how your personal touches add to the project, as a whole. ■ Picture: I wonder if art can be added to the freezer like a pin board sort of thing. Like you add it to the fridge and it just shows up on the outside of fridge, randomly, or do you actually have to add it to the outside of the fridge, so it sort of floats in front of the fridge doors, precisely were you personally placed it. Either way ...pretty INTERESTING... 💚
alex answers one of the comments on that ... and yes! they are magnets :)
Eep eep so excited!!! 😍
I love the idea of having to rent moving trucks and literally unload things and move furniture and having movers! This is what these boxes are giving off to me so I hope we literally have to carry in stuff from the car and put things away
Yes wondering this as well will the have moved bring in boxes or will they already be inside upon arrival
Cool! I notice a few awesome things here: 1. Dishes exist apart from food. 2. Parafolks' items are in boxes when they move in. 3. Parafolks can take their shoes off. 4. Magnets are a thing. And not just a thing, but a functional thing that can be used to hold up pictures. 5. The drawing might give us a little hint at what Sebastian and his kid look like. And I realize a tiny detail that I hope for: 1. That the freezer is functional and food can be stored there to be cooked later (or if it's ice cream, which should stay in the freezer)
Yes I love love all of it! And I hope they have to actually bring the boxes in and put things away
Welcome Alice 💗😊
Welcome Alice!! Ahhhh I’m excited for Sebastian !!
There’s a drawing on the fridge! ❤️
YES!!! Absolutely yes! Finally.
Welcome, Alice! I’m so happy you’re on the team and I hope you know how excited we all are to see your work!
Welcome Alice 🙂
welcome Alice :)
Welcome to the team Alice!!! We're so excited to have you!
I love Alice already! I can’t wait to see your amazing contributions :D ALSO, the lil drawing on the fridge is so cute!!! Viva the dino magnets >:D Are they separate items to be placed on the fridge or do they come with that particular fridge?
Thank you! They are separate items :)
Welcome to the team Alice looking forward to chatting with you.
Welcome Alice. Can't wait to see Sebastian.
Alex, you are surrounded by GIRLS!! LOL. And welcome Alice. Sebastian's cool move is in your hands
Haha true, I won't be the only man on the team for much longer though :)
With the picture, we can guess it's a boy for the kid ?? 😶
Welcome Alice!!!
Welcome Alice!!! Also those little drawings on the fridge omg I am screaming!!
Welcome Alice. Can wait to see what you got 😊
Welcome Alice! I am so happy to see a lot of girls being part of the Paralives development!

Welcome Alice! I can’t wait to see what wonderful things you’ll create! Also that pfp is adorable!!
I'm really enjoying the regular updates, polls and so on. Hello to Alice and looking forward to seeing Sebastian's home.
Welcome Alice! This post makes me think of the struggle with spawned NPCs fitting seamlessly into simulated games in terms of appearance and story progression. Excited to see what’s to come with paraNPCs!
Welcome, Alice!
Welcome Alice!!!:D
Welcomeee Alice!! from Colombia 😊, great to see more fantastic people in the team!!
For a second I thought the last picture was actually a photo IRL lol.
The tiny teddy in the Sebastian screenshot is so hecking cute!!!!! Also welcome Alice, I hope you enjoy making this game just as much as we're going to enjoy playing it
Welcome to the beautiful Paralives family Alice! 🧚🏻♀️❤️ lovely to have you. And this is an amazing post as ever! We love you team!
Hi Alice, Welcome to the team 💛
Welcome, Alice! Oh and does that teddy bear and drawing on the fridge mean Sebastian's child is a young child? Loving the plates and cups, hope they're items the Paras actually use (and have to buy). Will Paras really move in with boxes or is that just decoration? Can't wait to learn more about Sebastian!
Hello Alice! Also, I love the children’s drawing and magnets on the fridge!!
Can't wait!
Welcome to the team Alice!😁
Thanks for always keeping us updated!❤️
This is so exciting! Welcome to the team, Alice!!
