Just wanted to show you our new public video about the day/night cycle in Paralives and how modders can modify it! So here it is, hope you like it!

This is beautiful !!! Only confusing thing is there seems to be a sunset but no sunrise. It just skips to the top of the screen. Might just be how the video is cut ?
Yes, the video is cut that way but there will be sunrises as well!
I'm a big fan of the grass, it's gorgeous. Can't wait to ride my horsey during sunset ;)
The sun goes down in reversal to how it does in real life, does it? Only thing that got me confused. Other than that, looks nice!

Love it! The sounds of the surroundings is amazing as well, it really adds a whole new level of realism - although the crickets sounded a bit.. harsh/unrealistic.. I'd want to tone that down a bit with a softer sound - and I love the seaside contry vibe going on!
i LOVE the lighting outside the house. Its refreshing to see a nice blurred light effect rather than jagged inaccurate light reflections. The sunset was so pretty!

I said this on YT, but I think it would be cool if you added the dog as permanent feature in a separate neighborhood/town, if you're going to do more than one. It'd be cool to have a wacky feature like that which is actually funny and old sims-y. Like I said, kind of your own "Strangetown."
This isn’t the sims though... this is paralives. They’re their own unique game and I’d rather they make their own cool features than try to resemble another games classics. Plus I’m not really for the ‘wackiness’ in paralives.
I've actually watched this video an unholy amount of times because it's so beautiful! I want to put it on loop, haha. Great work!

Looks amazing! The mod support makes me wonder... If you were to put in two suns, would they cast two shadows? Could make some interesting alien worlds...

I just commented on the last post how I was interested in seeing more outdoor environments and I'm not disappointed! The lighting is absolutely stunning and this video reinforces my warming up to the game's art style. Yes, it is simple but it is detailed and has charm and character. The wild unkempt grass blowing in the wind (will there be lawn mowing?), the lighthouse, the farmhouse architecture against a clear blue sky! <3 (will there be actual farms?) I love that I get this humble cozy prairie vibe from this setting as well because it's a setting I rarely see in video games. And of course the cherry on top is hopefully much of it will be mod-able!
The possibilities with create a world now has me so excited! can’t wait to create a fantasy world With a huge purple moon 😍
I love all the colors! I can’t believe we will be able to mod the sky 😱I really love the light house too! Just a question, So if we can add our own moons and wanted phases will they be shown at the same time? Or will be able to set how many time it’s shown per night? Hope that makes sense.
I understand the logo a bit better now, and the lighthouse looks beautiful! - although at 0:24 it jumps from night to day almost instantaneously which is a little off-putting. AND there are three suns? ONE OF THEM IS A DOG HEAD! did no one else see that?

So gorgeous!! I love the environment sounds! The crickets <33 and the long summer days are a nice touch! It's honestly little things like that. AND THAT LIGHTHOUSE!!! AHHH!!I wonder if you can actually use it and build and live in it, or if it's more of a decorative build/buy object.

This is beautiful! I'm curious: what aspects of this will players have the capability to mod?
As you can see in the video (in the second and third sunsets), modders will be able to add multiple suns and moons as well as change their color, visual, light intensity, trajectory in the sky and more
It's nice to hear the crickets in the summer. I wonder if there will be lightning bugs ^_^
This looks wonderful, really atmospheric. I should say, I'm really not keen on the night sounds - they sound quite low quality (not sure if this is just a prototype sound effect?) and they're very grating. Also I live in the UK and we don't have sounds at night like that here so it's a bit odd for me; just something to consider.

No official ETA yet, but its not coming out any time soon. They're still in the very early developing process at the moment. Making a game of this magnitude is going to take a really long time.

Fantastic!!! I wonder if in the gameplay the cycle would last long, on the sims I always feel that I couldn’t do many things in a day, other than work, eat, bath and sleep(sometimes none of the basics).
