Window seats and kitchen customization
Hi!
Just wanted to give you an early sneak peek at some of the stuff I will show tomorrow in the new feature preview video! Please keep this between us until it's public! It includes the new window seats, kitchen cabinet customization and the color/texture selection tool.
Window seat
About a month ago, you voted to add a new object to the game. The winner was window seats! Here they are and they are very cool! It's not just a normal object. It's something that you can build yourself using the split-level tool. So the bench is like a small split-level platform that your Parafolks can sit and relax on! You can then customize it by placing your favorite windows, comfy cushions and decorations.
Kitchen customization
Kitchen cabinets are very important in our lives. That's why in Paralives, you can customize them in multiple ways: choose the drawer/door configuration, change the cabinet and countertop colors and textures independently and select different handles. You will see that in action in tomorrow's video!
Color and texture customization
Here's a glimpse at the color wheel tool. For each object, you have nice premade swatches that are useful to quickly select colors. But if you want to go in depth, you can choose a specific texture and a specific color using the color wheel. You can also type a color code using the HTML or RGB formats. Your selection can then be saved as custom swatches and copied on other objects.

The level of creativity and freedom in this game looks insane! Thank you so much for all that though and work you’re putting into this project. This game is become more than what I wished the sims 4 to be.
I know I'm a bit late to the party here, but I was wondering: if window seats are made using the split level tool, does that mean that parafolk will be able to sit on the edge of all levels and split levels? For example, could they sit along the edge of the raised floor we see in the split level demo? Can they sit on the edge of a flat roof?
This is still being worked on but we want to test all these things to see if we can make it happen!
This is just absolutely amazing!! Every little detail is so well thought out. Do you think there'll be/ are you planning on adding music during the build and buy modes?

Quick question is their gonna be a super market to buy the ingredients for food or will you just click on the fridge similar to Sims?

Everytime you update us, it makes my day. But this. This makes my life. The color thing oh my god. Being able to type in the value... That's amazing. This means we can literally sample any color we see and bring it into the game accurately. My little art student heart is going to give out.

So, are they able to just sit on the edge of every split level floor that has a certain height or does it require to have a special object placed there?
Yes, they are able to sit on the edge of any platform unless it's too high or if there's a fence or another object blocking the way. No need for a special object :)
