Meet New Townies!✨
Hello everyone, Sonia here with a new Patreon post!
We’ve been working a lot on the town and its residents lately, soooo I’m excited to show you some of that progress! I have the pleasure of introducing you to a few of our Townies and their households, some familiar faces you may have seen in previous posts, and some brand-new ones created just for the occasion.

Let’s start with some familiar faces:

(Re-)introducing Jason Cooper and Sofia Hernandez, now with more fleshed-out personalities and a beautiful new house!

You already know Jason, a very sociable sports lover. You can often spot him at the gym, where he works as a coach. Sofia, equally outgoing and joyful, works as a nurse at the town hospital. They’re a very social married couple who never turn down an invitation and love hosting gatherings of their own. Speaking of their home, here are some screenshots:

It’s a gorgeous, colorful three-story home, tastefully decorated and always ready for hosting! Their living space is on the top floor with large windows to enjoy the view of the beach. They also have a space for Jason’s emergency at-home workouts and a piano for Sofia’s hobby in their basement.
Now moving to another and my personal favorites:

Meet Bianca Shah (in pink), Monica Aoki (in blue), and Rebecca Wolf (in green), three friends moving to town together, ready to face the struggles of adulthood, pursue their goals, and hunt down where the best parties in toooown are!

They’re a girl group in their 20s who have been friends for a long time and are very comfortable with each other, almost like sisters. Despite their closeness, each of them has a distinct personality and unique preferences, which complement one another perfectly.

Their apartment is a colorful mess, perfectly reflecting the constant chaos and joy of the girls who live there. I love how you can really tell who placed each decoration, and it’s clear that Rebecca has been outvoted more than once…
Now for the last townies of this post:

Meet the Prestons, a lovely family who moved in recently because of a new job opportunity in town.

This lovely family includes the dad Gerard Preston, the mother Pauline Beaumont, their older daughter Zoé Preston-Beaumont and their son Adrien Preston-Beaumont.
On the surface, they seem like a very typical family, but every family has its struggles. Pauline is a strict mother, which sometimes sparks conflicts with Zoé, who is in her rebellious teenage phase. Gerard struggles to balance work and family life, and isn’t always as involved in his children’s day-to-day activities. Adrien is still too young to fully understand the complexities, but he knows his sister and parents love him and at the end of the day, that’s what matters most.
Their home is a gorgeous, spacious two-story house, located in a suburban part of town but still close to the center. Each family member has their own private space, while the common areas are clean and inviting. You might spot some of Adrien’s toys lying around when he forgets to pick them up. I’ll add a little fun fact: this house is inspired by one of the homes from Desperate Housewives. Can you guess which one?

i am so ready this game
I understand why the paler skinned paras have a blush effect but why is it also on the dark skin paras. We do have rosy faces. That is not how dark skin works.
Bianca, at least, might have blush on.
I dont think the paras match with the environment. they look very "clipped" in. Not sure if that´s the point
Whenever I saw them personally I thought they looked good for their environment. Not sure why I can’t see them standing out from that. 🤔
Is there a wall option to bring them down for play?

"Pauline is a strict mother" Is this pure RP, or are (or will be) toggles for changing relationship dynamics in this way?
I loved Zoé's jacket and Adrien's bedroom, but I'm happier to know that the game will cover themes like family arguments and conflicts.
I’m totally going to remodel all these lots 😂 no bathroom on the floor with the bedrooms? My inner-architect is planning already! But everything looks really cool. Love that the house can span the train tracks, love all the little details. Great job!
ok... so... Jason and Sofia live next to the train tracks?! Like... a whole train pass closely to their house? or... the train won't be an option of transport in the game, like, never? i know, i know is not like an important thing, but i can't help, i don't know why i care so much. like... i just imagine me living next to a train track, i would go crazy.
Well, for now the train is brocken so they wont have to worry to much about it haha

I simply loved the families, the designs, the houses, and the descriptions! Everything was so rich. But I'd like to talk again about something that worries me: the game's lighting, especially the interior lighting. Will it be improved before the early access release? I really liked how it was in Maggie's trailer :(
Unfortunatly we don't plan to work more on the lighting before early access, mostly because a complex lighting is very demanding on the average PC and it's hard to optimize
Okay I love the sitting on the counter.
The way the first house is built into the terrain and above what I assume are immovable train tracks is something I've been dreaming of being able to do.
So many different layouts of flats and houses to experience for various people !

Love them! Sofia and Preston may be my favorites here. I’m on the edge of my seat waiting to find out more about Marvin and his household though 👀

A curious question! Due to the change in the early access date, would the team consider releasing a Paramaker demo? Like they did with Inzoi? I believe that part of the game is already at the ideal stage for us to create our own Paras and give feedback. 😍😍 I'm sure all the fans would love this opportunity before the release in May 2026. They said they're not going to do a demo because it will take time away from developing the early access game.

Jason and Sofia are official!! Thank you devs! Something i'd really like to see from townies is (at least one) multi-generational large family that has lived in town since forever (same household or across multiple). Every location in the real world has them and they say so much about a place's history and identity. I also think, in a videogame, it helps ground the game by making the townies feel established over time. Hope you agree, i can't wait to see your take on this :)

I love them and hope to see more in the future! I wanted to ask if it would be possible to share with us your live streaming plans, both public and patreon, that you'll be doing in the coming months. Do you have a schedule in mind to share with us?
There's no planning for streams at the moment, it's usually on Tuesdays around 11 but it varies
I LOVE the townies! I think my favorite are the Preston’s! I cannot wait to play the many families within the town. I enjoy playing pre-mades a lot!
Also, the lots are AMAZING! Great job team!
I love the houses and bios of the families and household members. They give me a feeling that they have their own agenda and reason to be in the town. Will they behave like that in game as well? I mean, will the couple be outgoing? That would be so nice. I don't want to move my para to a town in which it feels like everyone just waited for me to interact with the new one and in the spare time they wait for their moment to be used. Like... Do you remember the uncanny feeling of the Truman show? Does anyone remember the sims2 or 3 function to look back in their "special moment/memory". I always loved to look at them and found out that it's obviously their second marriage and their fifth child 😱😏 I am just a fan of easter eggs. Thanks for your work and the thoughtful characters 💜

I love getting to meet more of the townies! The three girls and their Powerpuff Girl energy is making me sooo nostalgic right now. I think it's really cute to see all the houses too and the different styles and personalities present. I think it's a really nice touch that two of the girls share a room too and get their own decent sized beds!
Now that I've read about the Preston-Beaumont family, can paras have two surnames?

Uh... It looks like a lamp has found its way into Zoé's bed. Or is it a perspective difference? I love the pattern on Adrien's bed. The little bears!! I'm also a big fan of the older style of rug in their living room. I will definitely be using that in my builds!

Hi Sonia, thanks for the post ! The 3 roommates are giving serious Powerpuff Girls vibes, but I'm not enough of a fan to tell whether there are ACTUAL references... Hmmm... "They’re a very social married couple" Wait. So when we saw a video of Jason proposing to Sofia, it was actually... a prequel to the town's lore ? I imagine this post was planned before the delay announcement... Because I would love to have some information about the consequences of that delay. For instance, as far as I can tell, there was no publication (video, unlocked Patreon post, etc.) yesterday, does that mean we're not doing that on Thursday anymore, or was it just exceptionally the case this week ? More importantly, going forward there's going to be lots of streams that are going to take place (public and Patreon-locked ones). My question is : how is the feedback that will inevitably be provided during these streams be taken into account ? Stream chats are fast, and oftentimes messy ; is anything said during these streams worth saying at all, if it's just going to be noise in the background of the stream, or is that feedback going to actually influence development ? And to what extent (once again I'm seeing people suggest scrapping Together Cards entirely, as I've seen, how much of it is seriously considered for instance). And people who can't attend livestreams for timezone reasons, how does their feedback after the fact matter ? To me it feels obvious (maybe I'm wrong) that the livestreams are a transition towards the Early Access phase, giving us more transparent access to what the game is becoming of course, but also giving us the duty to make more specific contributions when it comes to feedback (rather than general wishes and abstract ideas, like the previous phase of development often involved). But obviously not everything is possible, and not everything possible needs to be changed to conform to people's feedback. I'd love to know more about what the plans or policy are about that. Part of this question is me being a bit worried, especially since I'm seeing people make wild suggestions because they believe these 6 extra months are an opportunity to get their outlandish wishes heard. And part of me is hoping that the people who do make relevant suggestions will be heard, even when they're not posting them immediately after a video is posted, like some of the people who have been commenting thoughtfully under last week's VOD of the livestream and have gotten no answer (like Aster Lea, to name only one ; even though I don't agree with each of their suggestions, they were quite interesting and didn't get even acknowledged). I know it's probably a lot to ask, and the team is probably figuring a lot of that out at the moment, but a clarification of what we can expect would be appreciated.
It’s not all planned, but sometimes we use previous posts to inspire us for the lore, and it becomes a fun reference like the Sofia and Jason wedding. For the lack of public post on Thursday, it was because we were preparing the live mode stream. The time of our weekly social media post can change depending on our needs so don’t rely too much on it! Streams can definitely be fast-paced, but the goal is mostly to be transparent and show aspects of the game. As for feedback, it’s easier for us to keep track of comments on the video. Like you said, streams move quickly and it’s harder to take notes during them. I’m sure that if an issue is significant enough, we’ll create a task to fix it, but the comment sections are usually more detailed about what people liked or didn’t like, so it becomes valuable feedback! That’s also why it’s not a big problem if some people can’t attend the stream we take better notes from the comments anyway. Regarding the scope of feedback, I’d say that if an issue is reported often enough, we’ll check whether it can be addressed within our timeline, and if so, we’ll add it to our tasks. But feedback suggesting we completely scrap a core feature like the Together Card, or redo our art style, isn’t taken into account because it’s more a matter of opinion and would be too much work before early access. Please not that if a post is too old or there's too many comments we might miss the feedback!
I absolutely loved the apartment girls (hi Powerpuff Girls! <3 ). I'm loving seeing how the lots are placed more organically in the city. It's going to be amazing to explore each neighbor, with their really interesting backstories.

The indoor lighting always seemed odd to me, it’s as if there isn’t a roof, and the sun is casting light directly over a roofless house.
they made it a toggle as far as I know, so you can turn that off if you want to

Omg I love him that makes me so happy haha 😄 And you guys SOMEHOW found a way to sneak in the clown fridge 😆 On top of your new playtester feedback, will you still be working on improving the things you listed recently in the patreon post of what went well/what to improve on? Like adding more to skills and relationships, improving UI and fleshing things out that you previously would have left to flesh out during EA? Also, are you going to still get family and friend playtester feedback or have you moved on to only professional now?
Yes! We'll still work on improving features already added to the game, as for adding more we'll see how much we can improve before EA and if it's going well we'll add some, otherwise they will come later in development. We're still having close ones to test the game but on top of that we added more professional playtests to have a more accurate feedback.

I think it goes under, which is not that much better, since it must be very noisy XD But then again, maybe those are abandoned train tracks.
