Summer Fever ❤️🔥 A Steamy Paramaker Showcase 🔥
Hello everyone! Léa here to celebrate summer by bringing you some of the hottest content ever created in Paralives. 🔥This week, I’m taking our Parafolks’ clothes off to showcase our new underwear, new swimwear, and three new hairstyles! 👙
All the content in this post is available for all body types without gender restrictions.
A Nice Day at the Beach ☀️
For the second year in a row, I get to showcase new swimwear and create a cute little scene for the occasion. Thanks to the newly improved terrain tools, I’ve created this beach for our Parafolks to enjoy. It was a very relaxing and easy build to do! 😌
Time to have a closer look at the new content, starting with the hairstyles:
But what about the swimwear? Everything is compatible with Patterns and the two-piece sets can be mixed and matched for even more customization!
Designer Underwear for our Parafolks 💸
Sometimes, basic underwear is just not enough. You want them to feel comfy and special. That’s why I created this collection from a world-renowned designer. Those creations are available with patterns to help you express the uniqueness of your Parafolks personality AND can be mixed and matched.
Lingerie Pieces for the Adult Parafolks 🔥
Lingerie can be underwear, but not all underwear is lingerie. Sonia designed two sets and a bodysuit for our sexy Parafolks out there in need of a fancy underwear option. Because of the lace details, those underwear can’t be used with patterns, but they can be mixed and matched 🙂
Essential Underwear ✨
Listening to your request, Sonia created a binder: a piece of underwear that will allow your Parafolks to flatten their chest while wearing it. While it’s possible to have pecs with a feminine body frame in Paralives, having a binder allows you more freedom in creating outfits for your Parafolks.
She also added basic cotton panties that are available with and without patterns.

Oh that's what binders are for? Oops I guess I was mixing it up. When they said binder I was thinking corset. My bad 🫢 Would it be possible to get corsets added or is that too difficult. I like being on the slightly risqué side

Oh man binders can be such a pain after several hours (definitely have to take it off in time as per instructions, it can cause serious damage with incorrect use such as wearing too long, too small etc) - I get it's a cosmetic item in game and wouldn't cause mood effects or something but since it's borderline medical item irl I hope there's a note in the description or something

I love this and am super excited for all the developments. Will the hair have more texture later in game? It seems very straight and has no depth to it especially on the braids from the side view. Not sure if it’s the dark color from the picture or just the way it’s designed. And I don’t have curly hair but I love it and was wondering if that will have a bit more texture too? If it’s not part of the drawing style I understand. Just curious!! Thanks for working so hard I love the new posts!
Hello! For the braids, we tried to optimize as much as we can so that's wy the braids are a little flat. With the dark color on this hairstyle it's hard to see the details but we made sure its coherent with the other hairstyles (same quantity)
The details on the clothing, i.e. the lace on the lingerie pieces is simply exquisite.

The hair styles and clothes look amazing!💚 But I'm still not convinced by the harsh body lines on some of the skin tones, specially the ones on the back, the ones on the collar bone and the ones on the abdomen. Less lines or thinner lines in those places would look less like a sketch and more like a finished drawing (just how their faces look like now). Also they still look too bright in comparison to the room/place they're in, like they're highlighted, and that makes it feel like they're not part of the room 🤔
The lighting may just be the time of day they have it set at while taking photos + the bright background the have set up. But I asked a similar question in the discord about the harsh back lines on some of the paras and got this answer from Léa: “The lines are linked to the skin color, every swatches will be reworked before launch, it's recolorable so we're gonna try to make your new skincolors less contrasted with the lines”

Love how natural everyone looks lounging on the beach, the way no one seems to be sitting the same way...it's such a small detail that makes everything much more immersive.

I never usually comment on things, but I can't express enough how much I am excited for this game. The diversity, not only body shape wise, but gender wise, clothing wise, ethnicity wise.. ugh! I love it, and you guys are absolutely killing it, and you all should be so proud of what you guys have accomplished <3
Would it be possible to have a patterned and pattern free version of the lingerie that way it could be customized more? And have yall considered putting mobility aids in the game Luke wheelchairs, canes, walkers, things like that?
it's not possible because of the lace details I'm afraid! For now, we are not planning to add things that will impact the animations because we just don't have enough time and team members to create additional animations for them!

i love that you added a binder, i'm sure that will be really valuable to many players! can the underwear be layered with normal clothes too? for example there's a trend of showing the waistband of your underwear etc? this is a minor detail of course, i'm just curious
we don't really have any pants that goes below the placement of the underwear, but it would make sens for something baggy for example
Is it just me or are the white characters looking overexposed/saturated in the indoor lighting? Besides that, i love the post and how "human" the paras look!
Yeah the light was blasting on the white background and everything was overexposed, that's on me! :(

I’m not sure if this was already addressed. But I noticed that certain paras have more lines on their back than others. Are those back rolls? Is that automatically put on?

I really adore the messy bun. It looks so realistic and I would love to see more curly/coily/wavy hair styles. Especially a great poc representation. And another question. Might there be an option for Paras who lost a limb? The prosthesis could be like a "normal" hand but the texture could be the one of the prosthesis. Just an idea and because you could see the full body of the Paras now. Thank you for you great work ❤️

Paralives, don't tell the other ones, but you're my favorite. "Thanks to the newly improved terrain tools" Indeed ! I know it's not the focus of this Paradev blog, but these dunes look fantastic ! As a last sidenote : my first Para is very likely to look like the redhead in the emerald set. That's usually my go-to XD Do they have a name ? The mixing and matching argument is really a big sell. With the ability to use any color we like (and for many of these pieces, any pattern, too) broadens the possibilities so much. It's a great choice that perfectly aligns with the game's philosophy on customization. Paralives, don't tell the other ones, but you're my favorite. I love the details of the lace. I didn't realize that patterns would be impossible whenever there is lace (I thought it would only affect the "region" that does have lace, but we'd be able to use patterns on the more solid parts of the asset), but it sort of makes up for it that these outfits look so intricate without patterns. I'm also absolutely in love with the Para modeling the black lingerie bodysuit. More broadly, it's very nice to see that the new assets compliment all sorts of body shapes ; in That Other Game™ 4, some clothes only look good on a very narrow kind of character. Paralives, don't tell the other ones, but you're my favorite. Ah, hell. You can tell the other ones. You deserve it !

That already means we can have a real summer in Paralives! The ParaFolks are so cool, with really cute clothes. As an idea for summer items, it would be nice to see sunglasses and perhaps the ability to sunbathe and lie on the sand, for example, on a towel. Awesome summer post! I'm motivated to go to the beach☀️🌊
oh i love it. Though i do have to ask will there be a hairstyle that has double low buns?
there is one for coily hair at the moment! we might add more double buns in the future for other hair textures!

I always get so impressed by how the Parafolk look! They all look so unique and distinguishable and like they could be real people! And love the new hairstyles! Can’t wait to create Para’s of my own!
Love the new outfits! Regarding the beach, are there some gameplay features planned (sunburn, tan, burying paras in the sand)?
nothing confirmed for now, I was just messing around with our tools, we are focusing on other parts of the gameplay for now I'm afraid! Having this type of beach themed gameplay does sound really good tho, I would love that!
does the binder actually bind? and can you wear it under clothing? all of the items look amazing though! excited for the modern bowl cut
the binder will bind, and you can wear it under clothes, but the devs aren't sure yet if it will be visible or invisible underneath your paras clothes.
I love the clothes and also the hair, the only thing that "bothers" me is the body hair. the lines are just too strong for me. The pictures of the beach are just soooo beautiful, I'm so excited about what the world will look like and how the open world in general will perform. Keep up the outstanding work. Don't worry the body hair are fully recolorable you will be able to customise it on your Parafolks!
