CURRENTS - Better Days (Mix Tutorial)
This is, by far, the best mixing video in the 3+ years I've been making them for you guys on this Patreon page.
For some reason I just decided I can do whatever inspires me, crush and boost stuff as much as I want to try to crush or boost stuff, and try to go for something awesome. There's never been anything stopping me from doing this really, but I've only been feeling like that recently, and I'm very glad it's happening.
According to the stats, the mix videos are the content why most of you are here - so it makes me really happy to feel a new happiness in doing them, and feeling like I'm truly sharing new discoveries that might get you guys to create your own new sounding ideas.

Insane work dude, i find it very helpfull. One thing, i am curious if you used the rooms and OH mics of all 3 kontakt libraries into the main OH and Room Channel. If you find any time please let us know, cause i see everyone asks the same question.
What headphones are you mixing with? I live in an apartment and would love to pick up a pair if they’re worth it!
+1 to explaining/showing the routings and mix levels for each part of the drumkit in Kontakt. Would be extremely helpful to dig deeper and help us understand the drum mixing better.

Your drum mix sounds absolutely incredible! Can you show with some screenshots on how you’ve mixed and routed these within Kontakt as well? And I’m also trying to figure out how you’ve routed the reverb into its own channel, is that something you can explain?

Made it to the end! I subscribed very recently and I am still pretty new to recording my guitar playing and mixing. You explain the process very clearly, although I feel it is quite an advanced tutorial so it is definitely a lot to take in for newbies like me. Do you have any advice or resources that explain some of the fundamentals? I'll surely check out some of your other mixing tutorials as well!
Awesome Lukas, thank you so much and welcome! Yeah this is medium level and assumes you know some basics, like what the tools I am using are (EQ, Compression, Saturation, etc.). Basic explanations for this can be made on your own curriculum with YouTube, or if you want a paid superdive I always recommend URM Enhanced and it's Fast Track programs.
