Malevolent Planet 2D - The Rush

Hello! I'll try to keep this one short considering we're low on time, but high on responsibilities (huh, that's an interesting combo)

I want this week to be focused only on things that are actually relevant for near-future content. Although the Quest Log UI and the Gallery Viewer UI & System need to be reworked, they are secondary to the primary focus which is the content.

I've discussed time management around features such as the Gallery Viewer with popular NSFW dev(s) and it turns out what looks like an amazing implementation in their game of this feature took years to develop with multiple iterations over time. I am confident I can actually get both done under a week, but my confidence belongs to "beginning of the month" development rather than "end of the month" development.

So, here's my focus for this week:

Bugs:

  • Fix any bugs that might happen while finishing up the development of this latest content. 1️⃣

Mechanics:

  • We have a choice between the mechanic I should develop after the release, that is, either the Gallery Viewer or the Unity Timelines Improvement. If I finish up preparing the release tomorrow evening, that means on Wednesday I can do the release and afterwards I can work on either of those. 3️⃣

  • Add a Day/Night mechanic that changes the scene mentioned in last week's Friday post. 3️⃣

Content:

  • Animate a scene which happens in the Human Camp. 1️⃣

  • Add 2 New Mini Scenes that have 3 stages of progression each. 2️⃣Each stage is represented by its own static scene. This is a very ambitious idea made just today and I might not be able to get this done by Wednesday, so if it doesn't make it for this update it will for the next update and you can replay this content to see those scenes.

  • Write the remaining dialogues up to and including the encounter with Anna before going back to sleep. 1️⃣

Release(s)

  • We're behind on a public release, but we might have to do one this week on Friday.  2️⃣

  • Release a Patron build on Wednesday (28/02) with the newest content available up to that point. 1️⃣

So the current situation is a bit difficult and I think that I should take this "transparent development" post cycle to the next level, by assigning priority levels for each using emojis. Some tasks might have the same priority level because they're codependent and the "highest" priority level starts from 1️⃣⃣

Tasks marked with '1' are done first, those marked with `2` are done second, etc.

I hope it's clear, tried to use emojis for digits. I wish you a nice week!
