Gotta Go Slow ๐ข
Phew, this week was a difficult one. I'm going to be resting this weekend and come back to things on Monday to fix anything anyone might encounter with the newest builds that have just been posted.
There are most likely plenty of bugs/issues in the game because the changes I've done this month were huge, but it shouldn't be too bad. I've done a lot in order to minimize the amount of bugs, but given that every scene in the game has been affected by this month's changes it's inevitable something might have happened.
I've however tested as much as I could and fixed what I've seen, the latest content should work fine.
Below is the full changelog we have for this month:
1 New Animation, available when going to the north street.
2 New Drawings, accessible in the Military HQ.
New Map, the shady alleyway.
At least 10 more dialogues added to the game, together with choices that can lead to semi-NSFW scenes.
New Likurieris Avatars, including the Likurieris councilwoman, Sayahshar.
Complete UI Overhaul.
Advanced Day/Night Cycle.
Fixed aliasing issues that would make movement look awful sometimes.
Improved the functionality of the minimap.
Removed all asset compression, resulting in a much prettier game.
Changed the entire game to use the URP's materials for lighting.
Changed the entire game to use a more efficient sprite sorting method, but it might have moved some things around.
Made the tutorial dialogue be playable on demand rather than it being forced on starting a new game.
Multiple New Cutscenes.
Dialogue Avatars are now affected by lighting in the scene based on the character they represent.
Integrated popup system for stat change notifications.
Likurieris Silhouettes can now have clothes.
Many more things that I can't remember right now.
For September, I plan to finish the last animation in the outdoors area of the village and polish up the cutscenes that weren't enabled for this month, then I'm going to work on the bar content and the village plot conclusion.
So I think things are moving well and sooner or later we'll be able to open up the endgame area (before the spaceflight would be possible), the Hub, together with its own plots and bosses.
Now I'll start cooling off from all the work that had to be done this month. I wish you all a nice weekend and I hope you had a pleasant month!
