Malevolent Planet 2D - Hot and Furious

Hey! I don't know about where you live, but over here things have really... heated up. 😎

Jokes aside, it's pretty difficult to do much work in these temperatures.

The animation I'm working on right now is also pretty advanced so I'm not progressing as fast as I'd like to, but I'll try my best to provide as much content as I can in this month's build.

Progress on our Tasks:

• Update the gameplay UI to look like the one from the poll. ⌛ Been focusing on the animation and dialogues so there wasn't time to export the new layers, the most difficult part will be the new stats ui because they'll be circles that need to be filled up based on the values of your health, energy, and lust.

• Animate the xray alien scene. ⌛ I expected to finish this by today, but I tried to learn more advanced rigging techniques available in Spine and that made the process a bit slower. There were a few more things I could do to the rig, but I decided to just start working on the animation clips so I can hopefully finish them on Monday and have the rest of the week for the rest of the tasks.

• Write the plot that provides context for the xray alien scene. ⌛ I've done some writing providing a logical story connection between the ending of the latest content and the village content, but there's still plenty left to write.

• Make it possible to save/load local storage saves on Android. ✅ At least this was done, did some testing and it seems to work fine.

There have also been some issues with my PC and I'll likely need to do a clean reinstall of my OS today unfortunately.

In the end, there have been overall improvements made to the game this month already, but they're not improvements that will do much except provide more stability and performance to most players so I don't feel comfortable just releasing that and calling it a release, so I'll try my best to still provide as much content as I can given the circumstances.
